I havn't found the answer, but wondering how the **** are the *** servers having 0 problems atall. No maintenance, no servers down, no problems atall.

Why have they got so many servers? Are they 5 x more than us in Europe?

They have 25 servers vs. NA/EU's 25 servers. NA/EU amount for almost 70% of the total player base as per SE's numbers. You do the math... It could also be that the NA/EU data center is sub par and horribly inadequate as well.

simple answer is they knew how may JP players they were going to have and were prepared for it but they got way more NA players then expected and are dealing with server overloads.

Both of these are factors that came out during P4, as the cause. Personally, i'd like to know what data center we're on, there are a handful in the US that are dedicated solely to MMO companies overseas.

They wanted to make sure launch went smooth in japan, then if they have extra servers there they would ***** up the US servers and pretend to fix them so we would all goto japan servers so as not to waste the extra money they spent on them. Then that would balance the US servers,............

Ninjas in the server farm is the obvious answer.

I'm still confused on this, can NA/EU players not play on these "JP" servers?

Take a group, roll on the server...
You now have a small group of English speaking players to play the game with, get to know, and progress with.

most people assume you have a large population, then you have a large player base...

WRONG.

Monster hunter 3g Online is a perfect example. Japan wii u sales have over a millions while the US/EU sales report less then 200k.

let's look at FFXIII

"Selling 1.7 million copies in Japan in 2009, Final Fantasy XIII became the fastest-selling title in the history of the series. As of January 2013, the game has shipped 6.6 million copies worldwide.[" from wiki

let's not forget 2009 and 2013 have a 4 years apart where japan can sell even MORE copies of FFXIII. I assume every year after sells say 400k more (which is minimun 1/4) so i expect at least 3 millions worldwide copies are from japan.

Consider population wise EU and NA. only selling 3.6 millions copies.

even if i lower the number to 2 millions in japan and 4.6 million in EU and NA. That mean only 2 times more. consider the large population differences. You can see Final fantasy isn't a very popular title. among the world .

Maybe we should all start invading the JP servers then.

I'm on a JP server, and I'm in Ontario, runs fine and between duty finder and the Oceanic players there is enough English going on. Until the NA data servers stop sucking rolling on a JP server might be an option, as long as not everyone does this and gets the JP servers locked down.

Now that you mention that, I do seem to recall the same from all the P4 posts.

NA data center has been stated as being in Montreal. Not even in the US. Just FYI.

Is there anything like auot-trans from FFXI in this game?

I ask because I played on Titan for years and years in XI, then they merged us. I'd like to go "home."

JPN servers are having similar issues.

I have been unable to login to Masamune for most of Beta 4 and Early Access. When I did get in, main quests are bugged and locking same as they are on Ultros. The servers seem to be having less maintenance but you still have to try and get on which is a challenge in itself.
