Any confirmation? Not asking for speculation or what he said, she said, this website said... but anyone actually unlock it or have a source tied to SE?

Nothing official from SE from what I have seen, and not heard of anyone starting fresh unlocking the job yet. But multiple unofficial sources (which admittedly may be feeding off of each other Smiley: lol) have MRD as the designated subclass for the unlock.

Once I'm through my GC choice & got my chocobo, I plan to level both to 15 anyway (along with MNR, BTN and a Hand class to 19 for materia). MRD because a) I enjoyed it in P3, b) tanks are always good for DF and c) Mercy Stroke is @ 26. PGL was going to 12 for Internal Release, so it's not far from there.

I can definitively say it's MAR to 15. I finished the level 30 LNC quest and the "Eye of the Dragoon" quest wouldn't start b/c I needed MAR to level 15.

....wish I wouldn't have leveled PUG to 15 first Smiley: mad

Aw bummer, my LNC is 29 so Ill be getting it today but my MRD is lvl 11 so I'd have to finish that up, I got my PUG to 15 during beta thinking that would be it. So we get the DRG quest from the LNC guild trainer after completing the lvl 30 quest?

Yeah it's right there for your 30LNC/15MRD

I think transferrable skills stop at 15 for MRD but 42 on PUG

Mercy Stroke @ 26 for MRD. Definite contender for 5th cross-class slot on DRG, esp. for heavy-add fights.

Fracture
Bloodbath
Second Wind
Internal Release
... (Mercy Stroke, Featherfoot probably)

Mercy Stroke is definitely useful. It's a free 200 potency attack that does not disrupt combo.

Internal Release, Second Wind and Mantra (if you are in party, which you should because you are playing DRG not LNC).

The last slot I would pick Bloodbath. In perfect condition this mean the WHM does not need to heal you.

Thats the five I've picked. Since its a cross class skill the potency of the skills are a bit diminished. Blood bath is decent but won't be that impressive, same goes for Second Wind, the amount of HP you get back isn;t all that. The 2 skills I use most are Internal Release and Mercy Stroke.

Ugh, you're right about Mantra, being a good team player & all ... that just means 27 more levels of PGL/MNK ...

Well, I won't be at endgame for a while anyway!
