Question about pc/ps3 codes :: Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV, FF14)

I have the old 1.0 box when I use those codes it will be under my account the question I have is when I buy the ps3 version do I have to use those codes as well? I'm only confused because back in xi I used my pc codes for my ps2 and everything worked on the same account

Judging by what I saw when entering my retail key earlier today, yes. You will have a ps3 code to enter and apply to your account to allow access on both platforms. You can use the same account and play with the same character(s) on either once that's done.
