I am trying to using my F310 and have calibrated within the system config menu and cannot seem to get the top buttons to work (the ones that control the hotbars).
Has anyone had success with this controller? It is one that SE recommends within their manual, too. I just don't know what I am doing wrong, since every button, except the top buttons register.

I never got it working, and another friend of mine can't get it working either.
Nevermind, figured it out. Under 'character customization' there is a toggle button from mouse to gamepad... DOH!
Is it set to X input? I have a 310. it works fine.

I'll have to check. I just remember having that issue in Phase 4. I have a PS3 copy and a PC copy, and frankly I'd rather play on the PC where possible. I've been playing on the PS3 when I have to watch the kids but I don't feel comfortable enough yet with the controller UI to do any sort of group play where people are relying on me to not let them die

WINT!! I remember you from the FFXI forums and as a matter of fact you helped me find my very first linkshell back in the launch days of FFXI! I couldn't remember the password or email of my old ALA identity so I had to make a new one :( Good to see you still active and an admin. Grats!

Being old sucks.
I haven't have any problems with it that I don't have on ff 11.
