Silly question regarding the physical CEFollow

Hey thar peoples. I bought the physical CE box set for all the shinies, and I want to use the reg code with my existing account. It shows an option for "digital upgrade", but I'm not looking to do that. Is there a way to use my code with my 1.0 account, or do I just have a pretty box to look at?
