Interested in a bit of fun? There's a F.A.T.E. on a ledge in Skull Valley where you have to collect stolen goods out of a Goblin camp.
You can either take them back by brute force, or try to dodge the hailstorm of incoming bombs and snatch the satchels right before
the Goblins noses! With 40 people joining in, Goblin hordes all over the place and more explosions and sparkles than on Chinese
New Year, this was definitely the most fun I had in a MMO for a long, long time. I did it seven times!
Besides, today I realized that many fates actually do not simply pop out of thin air. More or less by accident I observed a merchant
in Aleport as he packed up his goods to travel to a remote outpost, all the while accompanied by (and talking to in speech bubbles)
a Maelstroem bodyguard. Intrigued, I followed them. Halfway to the outpost, I witnessed a pirate hidden in a bush close to the road;
and sure enough, as the merchant and his bodyguard approached, he suddenly jumped out and demanded their money. After a
bit of arguing (speech bubbles again), the bodyguard became angry and attacked the pirate - which in turn called for reinforcements.
So did the bodyguard, while the merchand cowered in fear.
And THEN the F.A.T.E. started! It's the obvious love for such small details which makes a game truly outstanding.
