PC download Digital River issueFollow

#1 Aug 30 2013 at 12:25 PM Rating: Decent
My friend pre-ordered FFXIV ARR from SE's online service Digital River. As they say, they put a hold on the account to verify it had funds. So far so good. My friend played Early Access(not Legacy player) and now he's all upset because Digital River never charged him hence no product key. We know SE has halted digital downloads for new orders, but this account should be valid considering he had EA. We're trying to deal with Digital River right now with limited luck. Can anyone offer any information at all that will help us? I'm on PS3 so I hoping someone here at ZAM ordered it though SE's digital service. Please help us out.

The only way to allow you to play on the account is to register a copy of the game to it. You either need to get that from digital river or you can purchase a copy of the game elsewhere.

Because my friend's credit card was supposed to be charged, that's why he hasn't simply got it elsewhere yet. So we need to know if Digital River is stopping all previous orders of the download because of SE's removal of it. If so, he needs to cancel(which is hard it appears) and get a physical copy elsewhere.

Good luck with DRI - pairing them with SE is a match made in hell.

I'd contact your credit card company and if there is a DRI charge, dispute it immediately as fraudulent.

After that, if you still feel like supporting SE after their total disregard for their customers, go purchase the game from a reputable source.

Yeah, I mean you need to contact them and find out if they're charging him. That's not anything we can really help you with. I was just saying that all he needs to play is a registration code. You can get that from a copy he'd find in a store.

From another thread...
