So FFXIV is an asian grinder in sheeps clothing?Follow

So I just read something I find quite funny.

FFXIV basically lies and gives a false impression of the leveling system on your first playthrough. I doubt many players know this that haven't experienced it themsleves yet.

The first time you level a job, you get all these quests and stories right? Guess what though, they don't reset when you swap job. This means that to level another jobs you have to flat out grind without quests (or if you do have extra quests on the 2nd job, you sure own't have any on the 3rd or 4th or more). Grind fates, grind mobs, grind leves. Grind, grind, grind, welcome to the asian grind machine.

The single best thing about the game is undermined by quests not resetting, people will be making new chars for jobs due to not being able to quest after the first job. So much for the muilti job system.

As you start to level classes that are very low compared to your max, you get bonuses to xp. It kind of explains it the first time you do it in the active help. Also, just remember not to get all the low level quests in the other cities when you visit them with your high level character. Save them for your other classes.

But what's the difference between repeatable quests and repeatable leves and fates?

So you want to level a second job? Lets see what available to everyone...

Leve quess
Guildhestes
Dungeons
Hunting log
Fates
Class/job quests

Did i miss anything? Sure it will be slower to level another job after the first, but everything i mentioned gives exp. you also get an experience bonus for having a job already at 50. The only way i can see people really having trouble leveling is if they are being reaaaaaaaly lazy.

Que up for dungeons you get gear and by the time your done you will have gotten A lot of exp. do fates whenever you see them while waiting for the duty finder. Get leves you get a bunch per day and give better exp than quests usually. Hunting logs as your running around watch for the symbol above mobs heads. And i should hope your doing your class quests.

@OP
It is just as much as the Statue of Liberty is just a tank in disguise.
Or an aircraft carrier.
Or like a sugar-coated donut really is a symbol for the futility of all life; and people just don't realize it.

Because A is always B if you are willing to cut some corners, apply a new paint job, change the name
from A to B, switch its gender, invert its political alignment and re-write its definition in a dictionary!

Goddess, be grateful to have all these options at all. XI was a grind. This? Looks more like a modern mmo with some of the more clever aspects of the Final Fantasy world.

Now, if the servers could just stabilize....

I never do quests in areas not controlled by my current class.
