Cross forum voice chat options?Follow

#1 Sep 02 2013 at 2:20 PM Rating: Decent
I am surprised that there are no options for voice chat that will work for both pc and ps3. For good grouping , especially for end game raid content one would think it essential. Is anyone aware of anything being worked on for this?

there will be no solution. I paid 5 bucks for the ventrillo ios app and use my bluetooth headset to chat with guildmates. best you can do is just use a 3rd party chat.

Yes I have heard of a few doing that. To me its just a huge surprise that in a game like this no consideration would be given to the need for voice chat to coordinate activities. The cross platform worlds are great but its seems like they stopped just short of the finish line

To be fair... do you REALLY want all that extra traffic on their servers?

The voice chat options for PS3 players are pretty limited. The best bet is if you have a smartphone or laptop you can use with a wireless or bluetooth headset. If you don't have a headset though, it IS possible to just listen using a laptop, which is better than nothing.

Or you could set your IP PBX up with a SIP to mumble gateway and use your SIP phone. Assuming you have an IP PBX and a SIP phone. :D
