Can we team up? How do I do it, can you provide a source. With all this BS on creating new characters and over crowding, we are all probably separated from our friends. Can we connect that way? If not, lets fight for it. This would also work for those really cool people we meet while duty finding.

I would be all for it, I could run stuff with you guys from over on Sargatanas until server transfers come up. I met a cool guy in Garuda too who we would've wanted to run other stuff with but he was on a different server.
This is exactly what I'm talking about. Wint, get Yoshi on the phone.
This would actually help alleviate the problem of having my friends spread out over multiple servers.
Also, you could make permanent friends with players that you had a good time with form other servers. Sad to see a good party disband knowing you will never see them again.
Not going to happen right away. But if they could implement some kind of cross server friends list, followed by cross server Duty Finder queueing with friends list party members, that would be pretty awesome. (RMT would use this move items from server to server though. >< Oh well, can't just cross-out good ideas because of RMT.)

This along with a universal ID (like in WoW) So I can chat with friends not matter what server/character/alt/toon they log on.

FFXI had this kind of connectivity to other players through POL. I wouldn't mind having to deal with the extra steps at login that POL brought if it meant better cross-World communication like this.
I'm all in on this idea. I have a few friends that started a bit late and got locked out of Hyperion, being able to search, find and harass them in DF would be awesome.
