Something that struck me about how brilliant SE has been this go round with the story:

Level 15 quest spoilers: You get your airship pass, you get on it, and you're all like whooooo high fantasy technology! I'm so special and this is so cool!

Then.... spaceships. The Garleans have the technology of Star Wars, and Eorzea is barely a notch above LotR.

I just saw that cutscene for the second time (since I finally got in on my old legacy character tonight) and it's just bloody brilliant the way they did that.

Oh, if you are only 15 and this satisfied you will be blow away later on in the game.

Story for me didn't really take off until like 25-30.

Thus far the game has fantastic production value. Everything from the music, to the story, to how polished everything is.

Im hoping that endgame content is just as good...not only that but hoping that future content due out is going to be as high, if not higher quality than whats in game now.

I really hope they don't call the game a success then offshore development to some Chinese interns for all future content. I know they called in their big guns over at SE to make ARR, so I don't think it would make sense for them to keep them all on development.

Naw, they've kept XI in-house all this time. I don't see why they'd outsource for ARR.

Though I read somewhere that they used their SE team in china to do a lot of the heavy lifting for FFIV 1.0

yeah it's actually pretty unbeliavable the 3 Grand companies even managed to survive enough for the garleans to have to resort to using that meteor project thing, they could have just used their very own death star, they probably have one.

I really like the lancer class quest story line. The antagonist is really well done, as is the guildmaster.
