My PS3 Experience.Follow

Ok, I keep seeing people posting about PC vs PS3, and if I play PS3 because I have to, and talking about graphics and of course lag...

So, my reason for playing PS3, is:

1. Bigger screen, yes I know I can hook computers up to a TV (see point 2.)
2. I have never been able to get into a game, let alone an MMO while at the computer. World of Warcraft, FFXIV 1.0, Rift. They're fun for a few hours and before level 15 I'm over it.
3. I just love the easy set up.

My overall set up:

I use the basic dualshock 3 wireless controller that came with my PS3
A wireless usb keyboard (logitech, I forget the actual model number but it's cheap.)
My upload speed for internet is 0.07mb/s and even less for download.
And I use an HDMI cable into an LCD TV

That being said I have had NO problems with lag or D/C or anything. All my graphics seem to render perfectly, battles, FATE's, cutscenes, everything seems beautiful and amazing.

I'm sure some people think I'm "missing out" on SOMETHING but I'm perfectly fine with everything I have, the only thing that "sucks" is downloading patches, but hey, that just gives me time to remember I have a girlfriend and I should probably take her out to dinner.

I have both and I just consider the controller to be amazingly cumbersome. For me it severely detracts from the whole experience. To each their own.

I had both versions for FFXI as well and one time I had food poisoning and spent 3 days solid on my couch. I couldn't watch television or read, but I was able to fish on the PS2 version without feeling too nauseous, so that helped me pass the time.

I'll rate you up for a good explanation as to why you prefer the PS3 version without slamming the PC. =)

I also have both and couldn't agree more. I do enjoy laying back on the couch and playing but for intense battles that require full attention I am much more comfortable on my rig with the keyboard and mouse.

I decided to save the couch play for subjob leveling, farming, and maybe even crafting.

Also, I have encountered more connectivity errors on PC as opposed to PS3 but it is worth it for upgrade in graphics.

You probably read rendering complaints from one of my posts. I play on a monitor and so its not as good as say an HDTV, even when I play something at its native resolution(1920x1080). Other than that, I have no other issues with the PS3, as far as hardware is concerned.

And I kind of like that my controller keeps me in check. When its time to charge it, then I know I need to take a break lol.
