HP and MPFollow

Hello all,

I've been searching around several forums trying to find an answer to this question. It seems that a character's HP and MP values are determined by the value of two respective stats. My question is whether or not there is an innate difference in HP or MP between the races that is not tied to these stats?

For example, in FFXI, Galka had far less MP than Tarutaru while the latter had far inferior HP than the former. In this game, if both races were to have the same VIT stat, for example, would both races have the same HP value? Same question for MP.

Thanks for any clarification.

I found my answer. According to some nice folks on reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1lvpx6/question_about_hp_and_mp/), if two races on the same class were to have the same vit/pie, they would have the same HP and MP pools. This makes the decision even easier as 1-3 stat difference here and there means nothing to me. Only maxHP really matter to me since I played PLD in FFXI.

Thanks again and I hope this helps someone else.
