Asking this because we already have "Physick" and it restores same amount of hp and cost the same mp to cast whm's cure. Whm's raise cost same amount of mp, but it can't be use when in combat, right? So, basically, i don't really know why they give us those spells to use as scholar...am i missing something here? What Cross Class Actions have you guys chosen?

Thanks ;)

I set Aero and Protect for the moment, until I get stoneskin.

They are generic cross-class skills - all battle classes can use them.

And Raise is good to set before you get yours natively - even if it is just to pick somebody up after the boss is down. After you get yours however, it is just a waste of a slot, yes.

The answer is no you do not need to use their cure. As far as raise. They get theirs sooner. Ours is better at the level we get it so switch it at I think 22? and never set it again.

no. As a sch you have physik and resurrection (which is a battle res, resurrection as cross class ability is out of combat only). whm's cure and raise give you no benefit. After just having opened scholar I set protect and swiftcast from cnj and thm. I don't think I havebothered with a third yet, only played a couple hours as sch.

Scholar doesn't need the Cure Spell, but I have it, due to the same reason any SCH would have, better animation. It seems like the Cure animation speed is a hair faster than Psychick itself, which I prefer it over our standard spell. Some would argue the animation speed but its personal choice, I find that the Cure spell saves me during lag spikes. Simply because I'm not holding my arm up waiting to cast it. Also Scholar is better suited in dungeons since we can Ress as soon as someone goes down in combat, but people will sadly prefer a White Mage over us, forgetting that we have the ability to pick people up mid-combat during the action while a WHM has to wait until combat ends.

They don't but they get their own in the form of Leeches.

Equipping a skill you already have reduces the amount of cross skills you can have. So now instead of having a space for protect and stonskin and swiftcast, you now lose one of those to have a (second)cure which you already "had".

CNJ Raise is castable in combat after level 28.

Protect, Stoneskin and maybe swiftcast. The first 2 are the most important, everything else you can get from your base class of ACN. Res is better then raise, as previously stated, it can be cast during battle. Cure and Phy are the same, 6 on way, half a dozen the other.

There's absolutely no point in setting Cure as an Arcanist because you effectively have the same spell in the form of Physik. It's no faster having both because of the global cooldown.
