About to make my character, I'm guessing tanks are more in demand like usual but leaning towards going as a healer. Just curious :-)

Tank.

SCH is a new job so there are more people flocking to it.

Just play whatever you want to play. There's no need to be stuck on something you might not want to be on. You'll get invites regardless of what you pick.

Well if you want to go through the duty finder queue then tank and healer would be the way to go. But like the said do what you enjoy.

Enjoy the game.

Healer is without a doubt the best way to get parties in this game. The Duty Finder takes me an eternity of 1sec flat to get a party. A tank job is second best for invites and advancing in general. DPS's are great jobs, but slow to level. My DRG would be 50 right now if it got invites like my healer.

For Duty Finder tank.
I am waiting 4-5min as a healer lately because there's alway a tank missing.
Not like 4-5min is a long wait at all.

Looking at shout on my server (Marlboro) I would say healer is in more demand.
Oddly enough that it differs from the duty finder.

But in the end like everyone else said play what you like and have fun ;)
