Can u goto a dungeon on your own or do you have to go in via the duty finder? I am looking for some decent gear..I am a lvl 33 Gla/Pla..

You can form a party outside of the Duty Finder and go in that way. You're still level capped at the max dungeon level, however.
As a GLA/PLD you should not have any issues with Duty Finder, however. Any particular reason you want to skip it?

You initially unlock the quest by travelling to the dungeon, but then you access that dungeon through the duty finder. You are not allowed to solo the dungeons.

What they said. You have to be in a group and will always be capped to dungeon level.
