FFXIV APP - sounds?Follow

#1 Sep 14 2013 at 12:46 PM Rating: Decent
I am unable to get the events plugin to play a sound other than the included aruba.wav. I copied various wav files from windows system folder to the same directory as the aruba.wav file but they aren't playing. tried renaming the files so that there were no spaces in the name. even tried renaming another wav as aruba.wav and it still didnt play. any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

also, the syntax for tracking when one of my dots falls off the boss?

i had just put down: loses the effect of venomous bite

do i need to use a regular expression to match it correctly? if so, what is the syntax please?

and will this track only my dot? what if there are other archers in the party?

Thanks for a great addon!

.+loses.+venomous bite

That should do it. If you don't enter a regex then it's exact match only. and thanks!

The event "could" be used to track when dot's wear off but it would be for everyone not just you. It scans all lines that comes in and just does a match.

thanks much. i did get it working. too well of course, lol. i get all the archer's dots. too bad the game can't track individual dots better in the log file.

and is there something else I can try with the sound problem?
