I read alot where ppl think the main story can be confusing... well to me it's not.. well at least I don't think its is lol. I'm pretty far into the story line, just got my lancer to 46 and ran story all the way to where it lv locks again and I think it's great. Being as far as I am in story line watching the opening Video again makes the story even more powerful to me, as you watch it and see whats going on and remember the things told to you during the main story.. It's like reading a book and then watching a great Movie on the book.. it's what keeps me coming back to FF games

The people that say the main storyline may get confusing are the exact same people that skip through npc dialogue, text and cutscenes. And i suppose having played 1.0 helps a little too since it's the backstory, but still. They did a pretty good job to explain what happened back there and what caused the current world to be what it is five years later.

The story line dialogue is amazing! I haven't played a game before with so much time put into developing well written, storyline quests.
It's very japanese, but that is what I want from final fantasy.
The gaming market is flooded with western style fantasy.
It's refreshing to see fantasy roleplaying done right by the original kings of rpg.

After Livia sas Junius MURDERED innocent people and showed no remorse over doing so, I wanted to light her on fire and laugh as her flesh burned.

Instead, I get to fight her in some cheesy way involving cannons and a 2nd form that is laughable? No fitting dialogue to boot? It was really forced. I was so excited when the two Scions confronted her. They almost tore her a new one. But nothing came of that!

The ending is a huge letdown as well besides the allusion to what is coming.
