Any tips on how to deal with Final Sting during the first boss fight. it cant be dodged or outrun, its pretty much a guaranteed one shot. the logical solution would be to stun it however pld has no aoe stun so he could only stun the one hes currently fighting and what if the one he isnt fighting uses final sting? shoulder tackle isnt exactly a useful stun option (i.e is the monk gonna stand far away from the fight doinh nothing but waiting to shoulder tackle final sting? lol)

Now sleeping one while you kill the other would make sense except no one does that (despite always sleeping adds in other runs) so i figure since no one does it there but does it everywhere else then maybe it doesnt work there. but even if it did. final sting is supposedly on a 60 sec timer.. so you sleep one bee.. kill the other then as soon as you wake the sleeping one up youre probably about to get stung anyway lol)

Soo anyone know how to deal with that? kind hard to get anything done when the healer has to spend 90% of their time (and mp) raising the tank who got stun everytime bees spawn as opposed to actually being able to heal.

If you have a BLM or SMN you could LB the bees down fast

With the parties that I have run through this dungeon we always kill the bees right away. If you take them down fast enough they don't use final sting. I'm gunna go out on a limb and say that they only use final sting if their hp is below a certain percent (no actual testing to back that up, just opinion). If you can burn down the last bit of the bee before final sting goes off then you're golden.

I always tell the tank to target bees first in the trash mobs. Also, I play SMN so Bio/Bio2/Miasma + Bane = both bees dead very quickly. The quicker you can kill the bees, less chance they will hit final sting.

Edit: to add to this it is my experience that bees have a tendency to use final sing on wake up (which sort of invalidates my point that they only use it below a certain HP%) and so I do not recommend sleeping them. Definitely burn them down ASAP.

You should be able to kill both bees in the minute before they Final Sting if all 4 players switch to them the second they spawn. They do negligible damage before Final Sting, so it's not necessary to wait for threat. It's actually better if the tank doesn't have threat, since it's easier to resurrect a DPS than a tank mid-battle ;)

Kill them bees SO fast. try to kill at least one as fast as possible, then have the tank of either variety just stun the other when the cast starts going off. By the time the bee starts casting again, it should be dead or close to it. It's a tough fight, of that be sure, but it's not impossible. Just have to use some coordination and execution. One thing I tried to tell pugs, is to kill the left bee first, in that it's hard as **** to mark targets when your trying to watch for doom, final sting, and whatever else is going on. That way at least they have some amount of focus DPS. THe BLM limit is nice, but the bees spawn maybe 3 or 4 times in the fight, and you're probably not going to have a limit break available for each set of bees.

You can kill the bees fast enough that final sting doesn't get off. That's typically how my parties have dealt with it.

That is a rough part and I never cleared it with my monk. Doom gets cast and the bees are just being plinked. Next thing you know, doom is ticking down and the bees is charging up the final sting. So you either stay to kill the bee and die from doom, or run for the glowing tile and die from sting. Melee really have it rough on this boss. Ranged = win there.

As, blm, I had to get to the glowing tile while targeting the bee, then once on the tile blast the bees with spells.

As others said, the easy answer is kill the bees as fast as you can before they Final Sting. In the Taur fight, they have less HP but also a shorter timer before they Final Sting. The first few spawns shouldn't be a problem, especially since they spawn at the same spot and people can anticipate it.

When it becomes an issue, also as others said, is with Doom. If you have 2 bees spawn and Doom just hits, you have 3 potential insta-kills there. If you lose your tank or healer you're done, but can sometimes weather a fallen DPS. Healer/Tank need to remove Doom and help the DPS drop the bees asap. DPS, especially late, may be better to be sure the bees go down while seeing which pad to run for. There's no easy answer here unfortunately. It's a rough fight.
