i don't see this being discussed or used far too often. As a tank, do I just ignore this in my cycle and let the DPS take care of the damage where I just sit here being a damage sponge?

Generally yes, unless you want to be a DPS MRD (which is entirely possible unlike WAR).

It's nice to toss in at the end of a Berserk and/or Unchained for the extra damage. The way the timer on Berserk/Unchained go, you won't get more than three full combos, and usually you'll have an extra GCD to spare. Tossing Fracture in there is nice, particularly if Maim is up as well. It's good damage, just not something you need to keep up all the time when tanking.

I try to throw it in on bosses where I know I'll get the full time out of it, but don't bother with trash mobs.

Half the time I forget I have it
