Hello everyone!

I've been doing turn ins a bit more than usual now that it's such a big jump between levels and I want lots of seals to buy survival guides for DoL :). I had a turn in for carpenter today that was a bit different from the others I've had before. When I opened the "Timers" menu to see what the items for the day were, the Carpenter item was a Mythril Cavalry Bow, with a yellow/gold star next to it. When I went to actually turn the item in, the gold star was there on that menu as well, and the text in the window was red. It's the first and only time I've seen something like this.

I asked in FC chat, and though one person had seen something similar at a lower level, nobody knew what it meant.

So... thoughts?

I believe the gold star means you have an HQ of the item in your possession. I had the same thing show up for when it showed an Iron File, and my file for my BSM was an HQ of that.

Again this is PURELY a guess by myself, based on the 30 seconds I saw it and forgot about it.

Hmmmm... I don't think that's it. I'd never made one of these before, and I'm pretty sure it had a zero in the "number you have on you" column.

I thought maybe it requires an HQ, but then i figure they'd just use that goofy symbol instead.

Meh, absolutely no clue then. That was the only thing that made sense to me when I saw it. And I forgot to make one to turn in, so cannot say what happens when you turn one in.

It definitely does NOT mean you have an HQ item.....they will be counted in the qty column in addition to NQ.

I too have seen the gold star here and there, would really like to know what it is for. It was on Alchemist and I only leveled that to 15 and forgot about it, haven't used it in forever.

I have wondered myself, but nobody has been able to verify anything. I have turned a few in and it didn't seem as though there was much of a boost in XP or seals given, so really not sure.

Based on how it worked back in 1.0 I can guess that the star notify the item is in demand/not many people have handed in that item for the day yet (In 1.0 only a fixed amount of turn in per cycle per server allowed, not by per player). There's a bonus for XP and Seal for those items.

I've noticed it a few times, if you turn in the item - especially an HQ one - you seem to get a lot more XP and GC seals, I can't confirm it for certain, but I distinctly remember saying to myself: "That's a ******** of XP." I do the provision and supply missions quite a lot and I've only ever seen this twice.

You know, that makes some sense. I do remember distinctly thinking... Wow... 43k xp for that HQ turn in is pretty damn awesome lol.

Thanks everyone for the replies :)
