So i've been itching to do Coil runs and i realize people want either vent or mumble while doing it. Now i have a windows phone and cant seem to get either one. At best i can get is skype. Does anyone know of other ways i might be able to get around this. Going to be pretty dumb to get shut out cause of this. Thank you

Pretty sure there is a Vent app, but I don't think it is free.

Yes, you can download any of those apps on your computer and use them that way. I have a buddy who does this with his laptop.

I am a PS3 user and my FC uses mumble. You don't have an android but maybe you have a tablet? I downloaded a program called "Plumble" that works well from the Android Market. It cost me, I think $2, but well worth it. Anyway, it is imperative that you have a chat device. Its so much easier and in an environment that doesn't allow you to type, but you already know that. Its not something that will

I also use the mumble program on my laptop that is sitting next to me. It works perfectly. I would strongly encourage you to get this going. Goodluck. Hopefully they PS4 will have a program installed or at least allow for chat among the PS4 users.

Lol, I'm the only guy in my bc group not on the chat channel. We now routinely get to turn 5. No internet on my crap phone and I play on PS3. I would probably not be accepted into other groups, but since these folks are cool with me I'm pretty sure thats the only reason they allow it. Plus I'm blm so I'm not on silence rotation, so that helps. I miss out on a lot of strategy, but I circumvent the downsides by doing the following:

1. Macro that looks like this:
/p just passed allagan rot to #2, be ready <se.8>

2. Make a macro for dreadnaughts that looks like this:
/action "Virus" <t>
/p Casting Virus on <t>, STR / DEX down 10sec

3. Memorize the living crap out of the battles. I still maintain that controller users have a slight gameplay edge where we lack in our inability to quickly communicate.

4. Once in, pray to the RNG gods and gear yourself. Nothing says "I know the battle" like 6 allagan pieces.

That's all the help I can give.
