Behemoth Mount - How do I reach 270 days subscribed?Follow

First of all, the Behemoth Mount is awesome. It the Veteran's Reward Rank 5 for 270 day of Subscription.

Screenshot

I want it. Specifically, I want it now. But will I be able to get it? I have currently 60 days of sub-time paid for. The new billing cycle hits on Monday the 16th. If I change my sub right now to 180 days, that puts me at 240 and I'm short for the Behemoth Mount.

People are saying you cannot change your billing period until current cycle is done. For those who paid for 180 days up front, they have to wait until those day are up to activate the further 90 days (or 180 more days) to put them over 270. That's even worse. Are these dedicated players going to have to wait even longer?

So nobody will get the Behemoth Mount on the 16th?

Wait, if you did NOT receive 30 free days, then you could get it by having paid for 90 so far and then subscribing for 180? Does anyone currently show 90 days paid for on Mog Station?

How about Game Cards? If I go buy 270 days worth of game time on cards, and apply them all, would that work? Can you apply multiple cards like that? Will they count?

SE, your promotion totally worked! I want to give you money! Please explain what I need to do to get the mount on the 16th.

Ok, that sounds good. You were able to put in more the one at a time then?

If you can confirm this I'm going up to get them right this moment. :)

I don't know about stacking multiple ones, but people had the Eye mount on day one with PP Cards.

What my buddy is saying is the cards juts allow you to get Crysta. Can you subscribe further than 180 days with Crysta?

EDIT: I bought some crysta and the answer to this is NO. Crysta only buys 30 days at a time.

This situation is silly. SE, I want to give you money! Offer a 270 day option please.

Ok I found this:

Camate, Community Rep wrote:

During the Free Trial period, users won't be able to submit payments via credit card or Square Enix Crysta. Even if you set up a subscription, no payment will be processed until after the Free Trial period ends.

When that period is over, you will then be charged for the length of time you've set up and will receive the corresponding Veteran Rewards via the in-game Moogle Delivery Service.

The reason some users already have these items is due to placing time on their accounts through the redemption of game time cards. Please note that these function differently from region to region and the North American Ultimate Game Card is used to add Square Enix Crysta directly to your account instead of adding varying lengths of time.

So what I gather from this is that in other regions people will be able to prepay for actual game time to get the Behemoth Mount. But in NA, if you currently only have 60 days paid for, you cannot get the Mount on the 16th.

I am searching online for the actual 60 day cards but not finding them. Apparently, they don't work for NA version anyway.

EDIT: Verified these are EU only.

I coulda told you that about Crysta, I had a bunch left over from 1.0 and had to wait 30 day increments to get stuff

Unless they change their system to allow people to subscribe for 270 days or more, you won't be able to purchase your behemoth mount.

Off topic: If XIV ever does go to F2P they clearly won't have any issues making money through a cash shop. For a player like me, it's something of a perk that will just show up in my mail sometime in the future. Nothing against them, but I'm far outnumbered by people who want(and are quite happy to pay for) their bonuses right now. Mounts, minions, costumes... if the game were F2P and they released one of these every 3 months for $15, they'd probably make more money than they already are.

.

F2P means there going to be spending more time making content for the cash shop instead of making a quality game. please see any F2P game for evidence.

no thanks on this suggestion, I would rather pay a sub fee and get a quality game.

Whut? As long as you pay total 270 days, you will get the mount. Sure for subscription people you won't get it right at the patch release, doesn't mean you never get it. Also, doesn't mean they won't allow for something like 360 days subscription since many P2P MMO also have full year package, yes? Also don't forget Steam release, they gotta put something in there so Steam can get the sales out of subscription/DLC/booster pack/whatever they call it as well like many others, yes?

How so? It's clear they have put aside the time already to make mounts, minions and stuff like that. If they'd sold fantasia they would have made a killing. Just because you charge for something doesn't mean it automatically means they are taking away from developing other content. The game is currently subscription based and they do that already. It would be no different if the game had launched F2P so I don't see your point.

I only mention it because it's the most popular reason people ask about the recurring billing. They want loot. They don't ask about any of the other reasons you would want it(convenience, discount, ect.). Seems pretty clear that regardless of the payment model, people would still want these bonuses and would be willing to pay.

Also worth noting that the content they develop is already somewhat static. They have a plan and they stick to it regardless of how many people subscribe. Content isn't directly tied to profit. You didn't see the list of features coming in 2.1 triple when SE announced their subscription numbers or the projected earnings for the quarter. Nothing would have been any different if it were F2P.

#12preludes, Posted: Dec 14 2013 at 6:52 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) As shown, players love cash shops. It allows sub-standard players to be unique and look cool with the aid of their credit card, in a properly run p2p game this never happens and only the best players get to look "cool". In FFXI for instance people who obtained Kirins osode (in the early years) and king gear etc later on all stood around showing off their status in designated parade spots, this was the payoff for all the hard work to get the items. Now ytou can just pay lots of money for the same end result.

No offense, but Osode was about the ugliest piece of gear you could obtain in XI. I was pretty pleased that I only had to spend my WS animation looking at it Smiley: lol

I tried, but it insisted on billing me in 30 day increments for Crysta :( Knowing me and SE, I likely didn't see some hidden option.

I purchased a 90day sub at launch and just purchased the 180day sub today, giving me the 270day, Rank 5 veteran status. Both were purchased with Crysta with no problems.

My friends did this as well. He started at ARR release.

So it's the NA players 1.0 players that got 1 free month that have no way to get to 270 days just yet.

I am questioning the lock-out that prevents people from adding additional time if they want to. It seems like it just the limited functionality of Mog Station that is causing this, rather than some decision by SE to keep people from paying additional money.

Is this with purchasing new Crysta? Because with roll over 1.0 Crysta I couldn't get it to work.

Purchasing future playtime time with Crysta does not work. You can only purchase (the current) 30 days at a time with Crysta.

I was able to purchase 180 days with crysta, but thats probably because my 90 day sub ended today. When I logged into Mog Station this morning it said No Active Subscription with a link under it to add a plan. I just chose the 180 day option and added 7500 crysta to the account and paid with it. After that, the Rank 5 Veteran reward status showed in the list.

After you initially set your billing cycle it should automatically be set to recurring. If your account has enough crysta for whatever period you set, it will be deducted and your subscription gets refreshed. If you don't have enough(say you set payments up for 3 months at a time), your subscription gets cancelled even if you have enough for one month.

You cannot set more than 180 days, no matter how you pay for it.

For those of us NA players that currently have only 60 days paid for (1.0 players who got a free month), or those who are waiting for their current subscription to run out (those who selected 180 day subscription at release) there is no way to get the mount at this time.

I will be able to select 180 days next month and hit 270 paid-for. Those who selected 6 months at release have to wait until March or April for their subscription to run out so they can pre pay the remaining 90 days and recieve the Behemoth Mount.

The people who can get the mounts on patch day are:
1.) EU players using time cards that give you time, not Crysta.
2.) Players who did not play in 1.0 and did not receive a free month.

This is how I understand it.

I was able to reach 270 days, even though I played in 1.0 since launch (non legacy) and received a free month. The free period did seem to end prematurely from what I recall, but I thought I must have just read the details on it wrong. I was in all the US Alpha and Beta tests and Early Access (has to purchase a preorder code), if that makes any difference.

I just got a account suspended email at 3:30 am est the 15th was my last day. My account is set on recurring so they want around 2900 something crysta and I still have 1200 that " i think" would cover 1 month. Crysta is like the old Microsoft points was you can't get rid of all of them. I'm waiting a few days till the patch hub bub is over because I can't download it without an active account . I know I get a legacy saving per month but till I see the advantage of 3 months again I'm going monthly. Mog Station don't have game pricing but it was fast the last time I used it to pay.

When I saw that I was about to be billed I logged into mog station and saw there where 270 subscription day rewards so I changed from 90 days to 180 before I got billed this morning. I now have rank 5 veteran rewards. You would have had to change your sub like two days ago. I'm 1.0 legacy if that helps
