Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Announced

Announced through Twitter and detailed in a press release, Natsume revealed the next chapter in the Harvest Moon franchise: The Lost Valley.

According to Hiro Maekawa, President & CEO of Natsume, "while it does get back to what everyone loves about the early games, it also innovates in a way that no Harvest Moon game ever has." Maekawa goes on to say that "You've never played a Harvest Moon game quite like this!"

We're not sure how this hype will hold up, but you can find out at E3 – South Hall, Booth 615. Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley will launch "later this year" for Nintendo 3DS.

Nintendo to Discontinue Wii and DS Wi-Fi Service

Nintendo has announced that it will be discontinuing certain online functionality to many Wii, DS and DSi software titles. These changes will not impact games that can be played offline. Online play is unaffected for the Wii U and 3DS aside from the Wii mode on newer consoles. Access to the Wii Shop channel, DSi shop and Nintendo's VoD services are all unaffected.

For a full list of affected software titles visit Nintendo's official site.
