Defiance: Arktech Revolution DLC Coming in April

Trio has announced its 5th DLC pack for Defiance which introduces a plethora of new changes.

Ark Hunters everywhere are grabbing their gear and loading up as Trion has announced the next Defiance DLC pack: Arktech Revolution.

Arktech Revolution will be the 5th DLC pack to make its way to the game and with it comes a plethora of changes and additions. The most notable is the EGO Rating CAP increase that allows players to go beyond the game's current cap. With the new increase also comes several new perks, EGO Rating Progression and new enemy difficulty tiers. Because players will be getting much stronger with the new EGO Rating cap, enemies will also be getting a few buffs in order to continue providing challenges to the many Ark Hunters looking to acquire some epic loot.

Additionally, new expert versions of previous co-op maps will be making their way to the game with this update, providing players with all new challenges to overcome and hordes of enemies to face. New threats also means new rewards, which come in the form of special tokens that can be traded in for legendary weapons and mods from specific vendors. If you're like me and enjoy playing with friends, all dynamic events will now adjust their difficulty based on the players participating to help you do just that. This means that even if you're an expert player, you and your friend who just started can both jump in to the same event and have it scale appropriately, providing a fun challenge for the both of you.

Lastly, damage types and item behavior are recieving major overhauls as well, making gameplay with the two systems more involved and interesting for the player. All damage types will be recieving additional effects, while items such as the Universal Grenade, Spike and Stim Charges will now have a set number of "charges" (uses) that can be replenished by looting fallen enemies.

While we don't have a solid release date as of yet, we do know that this latest DLC pack is set to be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in April. The full blog post regarding Arktech Revolution can be found here, and as always, keep it locked to ZAM.

Good Hunting!
