Everquest Updates for November 8th, 2015

Remember that old flame?

Maybe you should go see her (or him) again, after all what harm could it do?

[This is actually a test to see if I can successfully post an image in an update, figured it might as well be a memorable NPC. A big thank you to all those who have been uploading EQ images, there was a bit of a backlog and I think it is up to date now.]

I saw the forum thread about uploading screenshots. I'm not sure what the new process for that will be, but in that spirit, here is something weird I noticed. When my system lags a little bit in drawing NPC skins, it is clear that there is a figure standing behind Lunya in PoK. However, when the skins load and the grey goes away, he disappears. But he does not become visible via "See Invisible," so he probably is some level of invisible that only admins and developers can see. (This was a feature of some older text MUDs. It allowed the creators to have an invisible servant to perform tasks unseen and thus to the player, it would seem like they were interacting with the environment, not a mob.) Does this have any effect on game play? Not really, but to those who like to see the inner workings, I thought it might be interesting.

Here's a pic:
Who is that headless mystery man behind Lunya?
