Spawned today game time wednesday, august 25 12pm said he was leaving when his sun dial points to eight.

This guy seems to spawn early tuesday and thursday mornings in Real time. Call me crazy but it seems that I'm alway on during this time and I always see him, I've done this quest twice now trading the first pair of boots for a piece of neck armor, the second set I got I kept for myself, they look really cool on my ranger :)

I have an Iksar monk at level 40 that enjoys killing the guards at the tower, good exp nice spawn rate. This little guy is tough to beat because his HP are so high. He is Indiff to me but will assist the guards. he drops nothing of use.

Tried to do this quest at around 16-17, because it says min lvl 15. Well, a-hem! considering those stupid skellies barely even came up to my kneecaps, they could knock back the HPs easy!
Now that I'm 30... hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off for some revenge to NK I go.... :-)
For those who think the Watchman is a rare spawn - I *always* find him upstairs in the bridge towers (top floor - roof). The skellies spawn as soon as he gives you the quest, north of the wizzie spires, and they are hard to see. As soon as one hits you, they ALL aggro on you. Buff yourself, go talk to this guy, and THEN go hunting.

The shiny guards that gnome guards drop are all the same, and are actually the exact same thing the warrior guild leader in Ak'Anon will give you if you say 'I am a new warrior'.
Give the shiny cards to clockworks with a C in thier name, and get thier black box and faction.

I got a bad tip from a friend that Dexlin dropped the boots. Four of us in our low to mid 30's tried to kill and had a tough time because the guards jumped in with him after we beat him down to 1/3 health. We all had to zone. We came back with a fifth friend, and waited for him to wander off away from the tower. We took him down without incident. I looted a Shiny Card (Lore, No Drop). Anyone know what this card is for?

Many players are discouraged to get the boots because this quest involves so much time for the Watchman spawn, completing the task in the alloted timeframe and traveling great distances to complete the quest. The boots are wearable by most melee types and have a silver platemail look. I recommend for players at least 18th level solo or 16th grouped. Oh, and bring your field glasses....
