You missed my point completely. At present, every MOB in the game has been downed multiple times. Not much left to shoot for now is there ? The mystique behind the sleepr was its invicibility and of course its lore. Now, with Crystallos it is just another raid mob to be taken down and not a especially diffilcult one at that, according to many.
Kinda weak that Kerafym was defeated so quickly. I remember the Velious Kerafym was nearly impossible to kill with velious gear, as i recall it took a few more expansions and better gear before a kill was made, I think it should be the same way with this.. Sony dosent care about lore the same way Verant did which is where all the lore for EQ came.. IE velious being the last expansion Verant was still doin all the stuff for EQ but oh well! Congrats!
As far as i know, Kerafyrm wasn't intended to be killed. And its not that he wasnt doable with Velious gear and people came in later with better gear--iirc he was upgraded as new expansions came out to still remain unbeatable. I guess they just count on over 150 people showing up to do the job lol
Velious Kerafyrm was never meant to be killed, whereas this one was created solely for being killed, hence why this one didnt take forever to be killed... So if you're going to compare things together, atleast *think* before you do it.
Yea, Sony originally paid for the funding and hosted the servers, but Verant was the company that developed the game and handled all the code, until Sony bought them out, laying off quite a few developers while taking some of them under the Sony brand name. :p However, that's neither here nor there with the topic I was replying to.
"www.eqclassic.com EQ the way verant intended, due out by mid summer by the rate they working on it......and yes....SoE sucks when it comes to lore"
That website is currently for sale, so that would mean that Verant had originally intended to sell EQ to Sony?
Why do people still talk as if verant was some seperate company 'brought' by sony, it was a development studio spun off from 989 studios, itself a rebranded Sony Interactive Studios America (SISA), when 989 began concentrating on playstation games. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Online_Entertainment if you want the history of the EQ dev studio.
