Killed him with my 38 necro. took all my mana and took more than a few FDs, but i got him. dropped Tump Stump, what does it do anyone ??

kited this fellow when i was a 40 bard using selo, chant of flame, and fufils, took a very long time. looted 1pp and got very little xp, what a waste of time.

A lv 43 and 54 bard should be able to solo this guy. He is the second hardest mob of the two cycles, bloodscale being the hardest, but at lv 40 my bard was able to solo him....it just takes me 35minutes of kiting him with fifil's chant and chant of flame...but it can be done...would be quicker if I didn't get adds while kiting...I've killed him 4 times now...and he has not dropped the circlet

My 33 Druid teamed with a 34 Enchanter to take this guy. My spells would not stick at 32, but at 33 and the Enchanter's Intelectual Advancement buff I could stick Ensnare and Crud. He killed us first try when we lagged, but second time we pulled to a safe spot and killed him in 37 mins.
A 327 point DD did not seem to move his HP bar.
I would guess he has round 5-7 K HP. No drop. :(

you have to complete a cycle to get this guy to spawn. we killed him last night i am a 45 ranger, and i had help from a 40 cleric and 39 bard. he hits hard but if you can fear him he drops easily. BTW we got the circlet first kill
im a 52 ranger with tolans bracer and arms, just hammer him with arrows, firestrike til you have 1 bub mana. root... pluck away some more and close for melee when hes at a quarter hps. out of 20 kills he's dropped circlet twice

a 39 shaman and a 46 ranger. This guy is tough. First time he was 39 and not too bad. Second time he was yellow to me (39 shaman) and was alot harder. Many hp and hits hard. Dropped nothing each time.

He will fall this eve...as a sorcerer, I shall call upon the assistance of a dark gnomish necromancer, Devicta Muerde -- oh yes, he will fall... /grin

Miklek, like most of FM, is variable level. To a level 53 he was blue or green but always gave xp. He has about 6k hp, and seems to max double-hit for 107, but he hits FAST so it adds up in a hurry. High-level druids can solo him pretty easily, but you'll want to just snare, root, dot, and keep medding/dotting til he's dead. Probably safer and more efficient than sending in melees.
He always spawns in the SW of the zone, often about 1000 ticks east of the Burning Wood zone. He (and, for that matter, all the other named giants) will not wander east of n1000 or north of zero unless someone pulls him there. Circlet didn't drop in seven kills -- usually just tump stump and some plat.

Hmm, spotted him roaming around the westerly side of the FM zone, rather glad I didn't bother going after him now.
Ok, apparently there is a cycle to complete to trigger the named mobs in FM, First kill A Miner, or Gob Raider in the SE Corner near the DL tunnel. Then kill a brute in the SW corner near BW tunnel. Then Kill a Giant or Gob Raider in the NW corner. Right after these are killed, a named will spawn.

Don't know the loc, but I've seen him two times, both times behind the giant fort roaming very close to the ruins where melee can be bound, hope this helps. Also, he cond even at 39 but next time I was 40 and he was yellow.

Try lookin at posts on Blugtugin for cycle mobs ya gotta kill. I got him to spawn after killing named gob "Rockwolf" in SE part of zone (again this was part of cycle, after killing a few others before hand). I read some of other posts about overseer miklek, and id have to agree, what a pain in the...!! Was blue to me at lvl42, so figured it was like other giants. Hehe, root-drones of doomed him like 10 times! well, anyway i got the kill after like 15 mins ;) glad i could med in-between dots (phew!)

also dropped a skullchip bracelet ac 5 wis(i forget) int 4 , hits pretty hard also.

No, he's not a caster. However, like most named, he's got far more HPs than his MG counterparts. Took 3 doses of Breath of Ro and Drifting Death to take him out while rooted - thats a ton of damage.
He is a rare spawn and the circlet is a rare drop - similar to the other rares in the Frontier zone. I've killed him 3 times and he dropped the circlet once.

Well I got bored of hunting in the dreadlands today and decided to take a stroll over to frontier mountains just to see what was going on.
Soim wandering the zone and I pick this fella up on tracking, he conned blue to me being a 51 druid and so i decide to get some xp off this guy. Root Dot root dot blah blah blah. Anywho i got the gem encrusted circlet first time. =)

Dropping the circlet in just three kills seems amazing to me. I've killed him about twenty times, if not more, and only had the circlet drop once.
He's not really a rare spawn, he's just part of the triangle (wheel) of named spawn that happen in the zone, so if other nameds go unkilled in burynai or goblin territory, he just won't spawn.

This guy's also supposedly known to drop a circlet of some type, gem encrusted circlet I believe? Anyone heard of it? +6 int headpiece. Also, is he a random spawn? Thanks!

He has about 4khp and this is known from killing him about 10 times. A lvl 44 druid was hunting him and would do about 3000 dmg and would msg me to help her do 1000 or so more.

i just killed him (45 SK) he hits in the 100s. no circlet tho. all he had was a measly 1cp!!!!! and a tump stump.
