Growing these
# Dec 08 2004 at 9:15 AM Rating: Decent
cliped from

Brass pot + Fruit seeds. Feed fire crystal on Darksday and Earth crystal on Earthday. Took about 4 months game time to grow

Ceramic pot + Fruit seeds. Feed Fire crystal on Dark day. Took 5 months game time to grow (recomended method)

needless to say takes a long time to grow, even in game time, so off to the vendors if your not patient!

Ok, to grow these oranges you, supposedly, take fruit seeds, plant them in a pot, feed them a fire crystal, and let them grow. If that's incorrect, someone please post the correction. I'm not sure whether the pot makes any difference in this case.

Sorry, forgot to post that you first feed it a Fire Crystal, and then you don't feed it anything a second time. 1 Fire Crystal, and you should get either an Ice Crystal, Yagudo Cherry, or Saruta Oranges.

probably it is an item where bastok has to be in control of a certain area for the vendor to sell. Check region info to see what bastok has control of.

The Culinarian Guildshop has limited stock of them, but its easier to buy it from the Sarutabaruta merchant near the north gate.

I'd also like to know if this is dropped by a mob or if I can farm it. I'm paying 900 gil for a stack of 12. When I need 4 plus a water crystal to make one jug of orange juice, and I fail a lot. So I was hoping someone might know if these are dropped or if they can be farmed. Thanks a lot :)

Doesn't drop. Only NPCs or grow them.
