Beta applicationFollow

No I think they'll have a separate download. I have it on good authority that the downloader is not nearly as bad as 1.0's, although I think they'll probably use launch day of the beta as it's own stress test Smiley: laugh

I would probably do the same thing if I were in your shoes but please forgive me if I hope your ps3 app goes to someone who's actually been waiting many years to play this game Smiley: laugh

That's not nice.. I guess because you would wish that on me too. However, I, like many more, have been waiting for a FF game to come to the PS3 since it launched. I had the 60GB and loaded FFXI on my PS3 with my PS2 discs, what a joke that was. I was so happy when I heard FFXIV was going to be on PS3 then got sad when it was delayed and canceled until further notice. In March of 2012 I got bold and wanted to play FFXIV before it was done, bought a new Graphics Card just to play. Would you still wish my app to go by even though all I really want to do is play it on my PS3?

I will gladly DL it to a PC or laptop for portability but the PS3 is where ill make my home. I am even looking into keyboards. To I extend the wired one 15feet or do I get a wireless one. Ahh the ultimate two choice quiz. I love it. Good luck for those wanting to get into PS3. I wonder if my Legacy status will put me at the bottom of the list for the PS3 since I am automatic PC....

Bleh. Sometimes I don't realize how sharp I'm actually being. I can be pretty naive about it. It's my own fault for not pcing 1.0 when I happily play(ed) Eve. My anticipation gets the better of me soooo... good luck to all.

I'm not quite that attached to the PS3, but I'm a bit of the same mind - part of the reason I chose it over the Wii or the Xbox was because I knew SE would be trying to put XIV on it.

No one uses the PS3 for much besides Netflix, aside from the occasional game. It's sad - $400 gaming system, and the whole setup is used as a cable box.

It's funny for me because console feels very natural to me when it comes to mmo. When I was turned on to EQ I played it on the ps2 then naturally ran out and got the hdd for FFXI. I've played several pc mmo's since and within that time of course, but a comfy couch and controller is totally my prefered way to play. To say I brought home a ps3 shortly after my old static and myself first starting planning the great news of FFXIV's arrival in a couple years would be understating the purchase. What began as, "Heavenly Sword, Siren, and Folklore should keep me busy" turned into, "Bayonetta was fun but /sigh, maybe a new Fatal Frame will come out".
I've been a patient little kitty with my ps3. I'm just ready to wag my tail again in a bustling newb filled FF world.

PS3 is the only console I actually use, mostly since none of my friends have a 360, but it's still by far my console of choice. Games like Uncharted, Metal Gear, Valkyria Chronicles, etc, are all great. I guess it's all preference, if you like RPG's, both the 360 and PS3 are severely lacking and the Wii wins there. Then again...PC trumps all of them for me as that's where I do most of my gaming.
