I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say that I don't completely disagree with Poubelle. I agree that he tends to be pretty negative, but I think a few of his gripes are pretty well warranted.
I too thought the PS3 version had an obviously lower frame rate, but I just sort of wrote it off as a hardware limitation. From what I understand, the PS3 is notorious for being difficult to develop software for, but it's mostly due to hardware architecture, rather than raw power, which it obviously has.
All things considered, it doesn't look so bad as to where it'd be considered unplayable. Maybe that's the tradeoff ps3 users will have to make; you'll give up the definitive experience in exchange for the convenience and comfort of playing on your couch.
I agree too.. I saw the video and it was bad. This thread is on every FFXIV forum I follow so it is a concern and other people saw it. Anyone knows this game is close to release at this stage once it hits beta, there is not allot of time anymore but there is some time. The disks need to be printed etc. By optimize there is not allot at this time that can be done.. The ps3 is not a new system or is it new to SE. What my concern is how much are they going to compromise the graphics to help with frame rate and tearing which is there too, part of it is the video too...
Since I already purchased a ps3 for this game I and just this game I am a little concerned.
