I leveled it after release to about 60ish and eventually let it fall by the wayside because I couldn't get parties. I soloed the majority of 40+ back before FoV/GoV on DC/EP x.x. When I came back this past year I picked it up again and boy where those attachments expensive. I got all of them except the last couple top tier BLM ones. It was a lot of fun having my automaton one shot a worm with a WS while I did the same to another one across the map in Aby La T. I may not have played the job to it's full potential, as I did have issues with specific spell casts at times, but I feel like I did PUP's everywhere justice.. And I was certainly better than 90% of the ones I saw around... if only I had a LS that would have helped me get Stringing Pummel... and maybe 99+ Kenkonken... LOL (3 people in the world said to have it on FFXIAH <.<)

Sounds like PUP is a perfect example of how sidegrades can indefinitely prolong player goal development ;)

I'm telling you, it would be perfect for a Mimic costume. Not very different from the Mime outfit in FFT (a parrot costume).

Damn it all, it was a toucan! Smiley: motz

Now that you mention it, it does look more like a toucan, doesn't it? But aren't the Mime costumes supposed to be puns? The cat being for copycat, and a parrot for it's speech mimicry?

I never liked the costumes at first (not that I'd ever play as a Mime in FFT, yick), but they started to grow on me at some point. I think it'd be cool to have a class with a wide array of strange costumes.
