GW2 Event has BLOWN MY MIND!Follow

I just downloaded a new patch for GW2 and apparently there is a new event going on called Super Adventure Box... I haven't really done anything with it yet but it is one of the most awesome and unique things I've seen an MMO do. You enter this device and it teleports you to an 8-bit world where you go on an adventure to save some chick or something (my video card pooped itself at the sheer awesomeness that graced my monitor). They definitely will be getting some playtime out of me the next week or so. XD

I kind of hope the gold saucer has some fun mini games like that when it gets introduced.

I guess there isn't much difference between 8bit and 32bit.

Probably not. I'm pretty sure what we have now is only 72 bit anyway.

PS2 was 128bits. Current gen don't really measure that way anymore since the CPUs no longer dictate graphics nearly as much.

Just to elaborate, that totally gnarly late 80s slash early 90s commercial GW2 released for the Super Adventure Box showed polygonal and full 3D figures and environments, which didn't become a thing until PS1's generation. Though not particularly impressive now, there's an entire universe between that on it's worst days and what 8bit was even on NES's best. Admittedly, that was still a pretty nifty and enjoyable commercial.

Many of the new Nvidia 6xx series cards are 192 or 256 bit depending on the one you get. I think the 690 is 512 bit

I was being silly meestir axeddy. I'm sorry I didn't have the time or brain capacity (you know, with it being strewn about my walls and computer monitor and all) to accurately count the dots per pixel.

Also, HAVE YOU SEEN BUBSY 3D?!

I don't really have a point... I just shotgunned a coke.

You're new. You'll learn that having a point isn't necessary to post. Smiley: grin

Jesus! That was no april fool's joke after all.
Say what you want, little things like that GW2
super adventure box are right the things that
make a game stand out from the crowd.
Impressive.

I just got done with a three-hour GW2 stint in the Super Adventure Box. It's pretty good stuff! Got to give ArenaNet credit with this one.

This event is one of the coolest things I have ever seen in an game, let alone an MMO. I would pay money to play an MMO like this all the time. I am thoroughly enjoying it.

EDIT: Why would I be rated down for this? /facepalm Someone here is just angry.
