Since we got a little nice community over here, and 99.9% of all the people that regularly post here are gonna play the game on release, how come nobody has suggested we all play in the same server ? Not the same guild, but would be kinda of nice to see for example kachi and wint strolling in the woods of Grandina Smiley: lol Etc Etc Etc. Hell we could little events once a month, get a few groups together and tackle istances and whoever clears it first wins XD!

P.S: Do not invite Louscool, he is mean to me Smiley: frown

A bunch of us were in a shell called The Kraken Club. The server name escapes me at the moment, but I agree it would be fun. All of my friends in the real world from FFXI and most from WoW have quit gaming for the most part, so it would be nice to have some familiar folks around when ARR drops. You know who I really miss from the forums though? Pikko. She was rad. My wife used to follow her little bento blog.

God I miss my old friends from FFXI, but I just can't seem to find a way to get in touch with them after all of these years. You made me sad and nostalgic and I hate you for it Ostia.

I've been drinking.

Problem with that, though I could be wrong, Server names have yet to be specified, and in many cases, Closed Beta server names don't always carry over to Release/Open Beta server names. So then those east/west coast and legacy east/west coast servers would have to be decided upon by Open Beta in order for everyone to play together. Then again, if they go the route of reusing FFXI server names(I hope they do), people will mostly gravitate to the servers they had all their friends on in hopes of joining back up with them.\

Just my 2 cents =)

Night classes, and I usually post here at work.

Supposedly I'm worth 95K/year now (Master in Internet Technology, the grad level MIS/MBA hybrid), but that would entail me moving to a big city and working for one of the consulting firms. As it is, I'm trying to keep a commute to Atlanta at an hour or under, which seriously limits me to the Gwinnett / east outer perimeter area only. (Or Athens, of course, where I actually live, but 90K/year salaries don't exist here.)

Hopefully the job you do get at least pays a respectable amount. I got my Masters in Graphic Design recently and unfortunately because of where I live, I make about as much money as a manager working in retail (not much). I could move and make double my salary... but all my family, friends, and stuff are here. Oh well, at least my job's easy enough that I can post here and play video games half the day. So it could certainly be worse. Smiley: lol

Congratulations, Catwho! I'm sure you'll find something great.

As for me, I'd love to join a Zam server (though let's be honest: nobody wants to hear me ***** and lecture about game design in the middle of their game), but my significant other will want to be on a roleplaying server if there's any chance she'll play at all. And having seen the difference, I prefer being on a roleplaying server, too. The community is more fun and there are less ******** in general. If you guys end up rolling on an RP server, then I'd definitely join.

Naw, HR departments love hiring chicks for IT work because it means they get fewer glares from the Equal Opportunity office during audit time.

I wouldn't mind joining, but since I am EU I have a feeling it wouldn't be a good choice because of playtimes. Generally it worked okay in XI since there were people online from different regions at different times, but with region specific servers I doubt there will be much action on NA servers at times where I can play.
