Or to have some fun PvP matches against one another to let off steam after a tirade on the forums? Smiley: sly

To confuse arrogance with confidence is a dangerous thing in the battlefield friend Smiley: sly

Haha, I absolutely agree. Once the game is live we should make that a mandatory thing. Have an argument with someone on the forums? Duel it out to pick a winner, Game of Thrones style! And yeah, I was just messin with ya. I'm sure you're a badass at PvP based on your ridiculous gaming experience. I will say I can hold my own however... at least in other games.

Just a tip, don't mention that you are watching GoT online anywhere or browse GoT related content if you don't wanna be spoiled.

If you said you were on season 1 in any other forum you'd know every character's fate by this post.

Seriously, the time in between books is getting out of hand. Wasn't it about 5 years between the last two? I was hoping that having the series televised would make old boy Martin pick up the pace.

I wasn't aware of that. It would definitely suck for him to go out like RJ, but how much *** did Sanderson kick with A Memory of Light?!

I hate that little ******* boy born from incest.... He is such as snob...
#92 Jun 06 2013 at 11:14 PM Rating: Decent
He's 64 which isn't too old, but the problem is that he is morbidly obese. So, people speculate that he might end up dying before he finishes the series, because he doesn't write quickly.

Yeah, be very careful about any YouTube video you watch or site you visit concerning Game of Thrones if you don't want the story spoiled for you. Imagine 'Snape killed Dumbledore' times a million. Excellent series though. Can't wait for book 6.

My girlfriend bought one of the books that has the 3rd season of the series as well as the 4th (story wise) in it.There is no way i am gonna read it cause i most likely gonna destroy it in the process. >_<

The best authors die young. We thought Terry Pratchett was hale and hearty, then he was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease. His books have slowed down a lot since then too. I mean, he used to churn out two books a year. Now he's so ill that he can't even read or write - his books are dictated to an assistant. Smiley: frown

I see what you're saying WFO. I don't think it's meant as segregation, but I can understand how people would migrate to servers of their own country. Unless I joined an LS that was going to a JP server, I would most likely pick an NA server simply because of the language barrier. I don't speak Japanese at all, so it would seemingly be more difficult to play on a JP server if they are the majority of the playerbase.

Perhaps it was a major complaint of Japanese players that they didn't want to play with Americans/EUs?

It's quite possible. Ethnocentric and xenophobic views occur everywhere, not just stateside. I do think a lot of it has to do with the language barrier though. I played with some tremendously nice and friendly JP players in FFXI who were able to work through the barrier using emotes, very basic text, etc... but I was also shunned by many who just want nothing to do with NA/EU players, and though I feel that for a lot of them it was a simple language barrier issue, I'm sure there were some that just had a general distaste for non-JP players.

You guys can argue who's the better swordsman all you like.

Meanwhile I'll roll on your server just for the satisfaction of down-voting by impalement. Smiley: laugh

Well you do have a good spin on arguments. But I prefer to stick to the point.
