Yes this was the issue. Apparently despite Canada and US sharing the same Media Region. PSN does not recognize the FF14 code if you are Canadian. Made a US PSN account boom.

Also since some have been asking.
I signed up for this Beta when it was announced, but only for the PS3 version. I also used an FF13 Code (Something to do with the 14 PS3 Beta, that didn't happen last time).
I was also involved in the first FF14 Beta.
Other than that I didn't really do anything else. Havent taken part in ARR Beta at all before today.
Oh and I did play FFXI off and on for a decade, but I don't see that being relevant. (but since they see my FFXI history maybe they like me some vOv)
