I remember something this being confirmed during one of the live letters. If it isn't already implemented, it will be.

It is stupid. Why not leave our servers up.. But hey at least we have our own servers this time.

Also they will post the new schedule on the beta forums.

Oh shut up. They're going by when their developers are going to be awake/asleep. Here's a surprising fact: the earth does not revolve around you.

1. It's a beta test, and the main focus for the weekend was 1.0 character data. They can test the scope in two days. P3-3 will be the same length to test out the Duty Finder, and P3-4 will be longer than usual.

2. Wint has been on a tear lately. I love it.

You could also adjust targeting only for specific targets when you weapon is drawn or sheathed. You find those options inside the Character configuration menu.

Thanks for the tip! Targeting during a big fate is a ******.

I actually spent Friday/Saturday player off and on reach Lv.10 but I spent 80% of my time exploring the areas, playing with the settings on the games config with my TV's config and examining the character system (inventory/armor/abilities).

My PC can't run the game so in the end I'll have to get it on the PS3, my biggest concern with the PS3 version was the over all clutter I felt during battles. This target system was good for FFXI when there was only 1 (maybe 2) creatures to target, but when there are 5+ it's impossible to target the one you want currently. I'd like to see D-pad up/down for people and D-pad left/right for creatures.

and for some reason on the PS3 I kept seeing frames of animation missing from creatures and other players. I assume that is cause this version of the beta is not fully optimized. maybe in next weeks beta it will keep getting better and better.

I would love to play this on PC, maybe in the next 6 months I will get a gaming PC but if I want to play FFXIV 2 release the PS3 it will be. I guess in that since it's pretty amazing to have such an amazing title on that 6 year old system.

Please write your targeting ideas on the beta forum if you haven't already.

I like your idea very much.

Also, allow me to point out: This isn't a ******* game demo. You are not entitled to play it. You are given early access in exchange for feedback on the product. Stop whining like entitled ********* and just enjoy your access while you have it.

Actually, it was him berating you for whining and acting overly entitled in a beta. I agree it's unfortunate we can't play all day on Sunday, but it's certainly not something to **** and moan about. I'm just happy to be in the beta and be allowed to test the game for free. Yes I wish we had more time, and we will soon enough.

Yeah lets watch the name calling, my post may have been a little more aggravated than I would have liked, but I stand by it.

I get you want to play, I really do too. It speaks well of a game where everyone is chomping at the bit to get back into a phase where everything we do is wiped away in a few weeks Smiley: laugh

Yes, it was needed. For you and everyone to get the point. Be offended, maybe it will make you consider why the post was done in the first place. Why was your initial post even needed? It wasn't, that's the point. You are complaining that their testing phases don't meet with your needs. But this isn't about you, or your needs. This schedule is based on the developer's needs.

When the game is actually released, you will have all the time in the world to play, and better yet, you get to keep your progress!

This forum is starting to become boring. Almost every thread devolves into some sort of "I'm not grown up enough to have a conversation with another human being that doesn't escalate to name calling, personality bashing, racism, or some other way of arguing." Admins, if you're reading this...a lot of people are going to get turned off and stop visiting.

The problem is some people think god made them the ones to stand up for this game no matter what even if they are wrong.. If some states anything that could be improved on this game they have to jump down their throat.. ... There are things that are great and things that could be improved, its that way with all games. Then people get defensive because all these people jump down their throats., There are obvious trolls but on both sides.

Not telling you what to do. Just expressing that it gets frustrating when every thread goes far off-topic and turns into people arguing about anything and everything. I was so close to clicking the pay button on being a premium member because when things are good here, they're great. Lately however it seems like things are mostly not great, on nearly every thread I read.

You know what I am talking about.. There are trolls on both sides.. The are those that are obviously on the forums to bash the game. But there are the ones on the other side who are always too positive or have to resort to name calling or calling you a troll right off the bat... It is like they take it personally. See they just want to chase you off the forum......A game cant be a 100 perfect or there would never be another game because it could not top it. If people cant state what they think could be improved how can SE be aware of it to improve it or fix it.
