I had just gotten to level 15 late Sat night and was going thru the quest where I got into the instance that told me that if I was above level 17 I would be synced down.
This instance was the one that started with (edit)

I was tired and figured just hit it in the morning and figure it out. Next morning.... No beta! :(

This instance was the one that started with 2 npc and 2 large goats attacking them. I had issues targeting the 2 npc to heal, so I just started to kill the goats along with them. One died just as we killed its goat and the other was near death. When 2 more popped they were on me and took me down quickly.

I was tired and figured just hit it in the morning and figure it out. Next morning.... No beta! :(

So what I am asking here now if anyone had done it and basically what tactic they used to get by the quest. Is it healing the NPC's (something that I had issues with) or all out attack and kill?

You have to keep them both alive. It took me two tries as well. Don't even bother attacking anything. Just keep heal bombing. Swap back and forth between the two as needed. I tried to keep them at no less than about 30% HP.

ETA: Might no hurt to have an ether handy...just in case.

Not sure which platform you were playing on but both PC and PS3 have ways via keybinds in targeting npc, players, monsters. Try working with that in town until you get the feel for targeting. That should help you in targeting the NPC to heal them.

As far as the stragety for the fight I would use the one above. Havent don't that quest line and wont until i start Archanist.

For those interested in the Gridana lv 15 story quest, my stragety was kiting the Gargoyle while taking it down to 25% health before you get help on the fight, just a FYI on my stragety for the Gridana story line.

Thank you LeBarge for making it clear. I do know it had me heal an NPC before that part of the quest started so I kinda figured that was it. Will focus on that on next try. Thank you again, on Gilgamesh sever if you happen to be on there :)

You're quite welcome. I'm on Atomos for P3, but most new players here on Zam are starting on Ultros for P4 and release. Hope to see you there Smiley: grin

Yea i had the same issue in phase 2 with my CON. Do not bother attacking at all just heal them. You can aslo do your skill that does dmg over time to help a bit but other than that don't bother much.

I would suggest when you are revealing stuff for story line missions to use spoilers maybe someone does not want to read them yet.

So, being that this is Phase 3, is anyone not liking that their character will be wiped out along with all its accomplishments?
I have never been in a Beta before, and I'm pleasantly surprised that everyone is going full throttle despite getting the sack when Phase 4 begins.

It's pretty normal for beta tests of games to wipe characters after the test phase is done. At least with this game, they're allowing players to keep their characters from the final beta phase when the game goes live.

One of my favorite last days of a beta test was EVE Online. On the last day, everyone was given almost infinite money, allowing players to buy the highest-class equipment. I remember buying a battleship and using it take on an entire area's security forces until the servers shut down.

idk how you guys survived just curing.. I had to hurry up and kill the first so they could double team the other then the 2 more spawn. I cured AND attacked. First thing I did was get the DoT going on both of them then I started attacking the closer one while healing inbetween.. I died twice JUST curing.. idk how you guys did it lol

Thanks for this thread. Smiley: smile I used the LB RB targeting on the pc this beta and didn't think about targeting ,weapons, equipment or level spells till this mission beat me 8 times. One read and just target heal wait, target wait heal, and repeat. I beat first try. With mobs hitting for 25dmg my heals started at 40 by the last fight it was 80. Gotta love level sync on a rank 50 spell and equipment.Smiley: laugh

How crazy would it be if they just left all the characters we created, rather than deleting them. I know I sped through the storyline skipping most cutscenes, so I would probably create a new character just to experience that part of it.

I'm thinking the chances of that would be pretty slim since they have those auto leveling NPCs in game Smiley: smile
