They reissued the update last week. It works perfectly.

PC emulators. That's probably you're best bet unfortunately. Also, it seems like the newer the system, the less time before it dies. I had a working nintendo for 20 years. I had a working super nintendo for about 12. My xbox 360 lasted me about 5... it's like they are building them to break quickly now so you have to keep upgrading.

While I wouldn't put it past companies to do things like that to make you buy the next new offering, I think the lesser lifespan is just from the fact that there are more ways for consoles these days to break.

I've been very fortunate. I still have a working nintendo and SNES from my childhood. My son is still using my launch xbox 360 and I have never had a red ring of death. Although, for the past few months, you do have to sweet talk the 360 to open it's tray so you can switch out games.

My problem is, what about the collectors? I have games on Hard Disc that I want to play when I'm 60... that's 30years from now. If they break my system, how will I go retro? I love playing PS1 games, N64, Dreamcast games. You can't beat some of those, I'm looking at you Banjo-Kazooie. If the systems break how will I get my weekly dose of nostalgia?

Well I suppose you're lucky that there aren't any classics on the PS3 then. I have a feeling the systems older than that will still be working just fine by then, however.

Well played my first beta of this game last week and loved it except for the PS3 targeting. Then over this week I found in the Character Configuration, Control Setting, Filters, I could filter our specific targeting schemes depending on my L1+ control. Well tried it out and now love this game 100%.

I plan on messing around with this as well. Glad to hear you were able to get it figured out.
