Well that makes me a sad panda. I'm going to hope against hope it happens anyway! A lot of it looks like it could be legit. I at least hope they add Chocobo Hot and Cold from IX! That would be amazing.

Hello just saw my topic be brought up on zam. Sorry if some of it may be misleading. Been building and adding and removing things since 1.0 went down. I can comfirm few things of whats coming.

Confirm source of some of these. I cant list all the URLs but can expect some of these to be in the game or changed.
You will be able to ride them. (Can be seen in Beta)
You will be able to use them in battle. (Can be seen in Beta)
Chocobos will have a stable. (Not in Beta yet but yoshi did say it was gonna be with breeding)
Chocobos will have Job AF. (Not in Beta but designs have been added to many jobs)
Chocobos will have Jump. (Can be Seen in Beta)
Can summon/rent chocobos. (Can be Summon in Beta, Renting is pretty much same as Auto-Travel with Chocobo Porter) (Not sure if some rents lend you control of your chocobo in beta)
Can raise/breed chocobos sometime after launch. (Been confirmed in Live Letter)
Chocobos will use a gambit system like in ff12. (Been confirmed in Live letter, this may have changed in different way then its displayed in FF12)
Chocobos will be same level as your currect level. (Live Letter/ Can be seen in Beta)
Will be able to equip armor/costumes to your chocobo. (Can be seen in Beta but you cant select each of 3 barding slots yet./Live Letter)
All Chocobo Armor will not have combat stats on it & will be used as a costume option. (Live Letter)
Chocobos will be like a freelancer/onion knight. Will be able to make it anything or a mix role wise in combat. (Chocobos dont have any main job, can swap there role in mid battle)
Chocobos will have 3 armor slots (Head,Chest,Legs) (Live Letter/Not in Game Yet)
Will be able to share your Chocobo with other players. (Live Letter)
Chocobo barding will be released sometime after launch. (Changed. They pushed this into Beta)
There will be Chocobo Baby Minion in ARR. (Can be seen in Beta/Live Letter/Videos)
(BETA) Will be able to use Chocobo Porter to auto travel to city or guildleve. (Chocobo Rent System I think)
Chocobo suit coming to ARR. (In 1.23 for mask and full suit shown at Pax)
Chocobo's will have Skill Tree/Point Atoement system. (Live Letter, This probably will not be a Point atoment system but something different)
This point system will be added in either phase 3 or 4 of beta. (Beta Forum post I think)
DoH will be able to craft barding chocobo gear. (E3 English live Letter)
