I've always loved the healing classes, so I'll be going the CNJ/WHM route. However, I've been reading up on Scholar, and am really looking forward to playing that as well.

You know i'm going to be going straight for Arcanist/Summoner. Though playing in beta has really spiked my interests in the other classes, including gathering and crafting classes. For the first time in an MMO, I actually want to play all of them. So I can pretty much say goodbye to the rest of 2013 after the game is release, because I'm going to have a lot to do...

I'll probably stick with Archer, just because I'm trying to stay with the lore of my character. My original character started in Gridania so I want to keep the tradition. I'm actually going to be making a new character from scratch on Hyperion and ditching my old Legacy Character. Plan is to make him look a little older =P. Then I'll transfer the gil over to him and start with level ones.

Kind of wished I could just use the legacy character and just reset his levels to 1 so I don't lose my goobue mount and such. But I really don't want to start with all my classes at 50 besides summoner/scholar =(

CNJ because I love playing support classes, specifically buffers and debuffers. If ACN or SCH has more buffs than CNJ, I'll probably play those instead since I'm not too much of a fan of healing.

I really want to play Arcanist, but I'm worried that the game design will force me to play Summoner for group events, which I'm not interested in at all. Scholar sounds like a really cool healing Job though, so that may be something I would go for. My Bard is already level 31, so I may take that and Scholar to 50 and play those 2 classes for endgame stuff. Support/Healer should keep me off of the bench. Perhaps I'll roll a tank after that and be the go to guy in the LS.

GLA/PLD, as well as LNC/DRG later. My GLA is hard to kill right now due to subjob abilities such as Cure/Protect, Second Wind, Foresight, etc. It'll only get better later! Can't wait to lvl CNJ to 34 for use of Stoneskin on GLA. I wonder if Arcanist's lvl 30 ability "Barrier" will be cross class? XD

GLD/PLD for sure. I love the way the PLD gear looks. Been playing around with one during the beta and enjoy it. Plus I enjoy Uldah.

Right now, I'm looking forward to going Arcanist > Summoner. I tried out all the other classes to get a feel for them, and really enjoyed most of them, but I'm dying to finally get to try out Arcanist.

Any tank, healing, or magic damage dealer. Except Summoner. In XI I was just a regular DD, a DRG. I want to be the life/starter of the party this time.

Then craft craft crafting. Won't have as much time to play as I would like because of real life. Hopefully crafting isn't too much of a time sink. ;p

Edit: Lalafell (Tarutaru...). I want to be small this time. Small tanks are *awesome*.

I'm choosing an Ul'dah class, because I know a friend is going PUG and another is going GLA. I can always run to Gridania for CNJ.

Actually, on second thought, I may go Arcanist. I totally forgot about Scholar...

I'm going to be starting as an Arcanist. Although I've been playing archer during the beta and I have really enjoyed it so that will be my second class.

THM, because I love black mages. ^-^

MDR, because they swings the big axe. Tried GLD, not a big fan but I'm going to have to level it for WAR. LNC was fun too, going to try ARC next weekend.

Either MRD or GLD.

I just love tanking too much in MMOs. However, I might switch to BRD since it seems there are an overabundance of tanks . . . hopefully the next few classes added will be fun DPS or heals.

LNC, because I eventually want to be a Dragoon. That was my original goal in XI, and I never got around to it, so I'm going to do it for XIV.

Beyond that, BTN & CRP so I can repair my own weapons, along with the staves of my CNJ friend who will be joining me.

I'm going to start out as an Archer to do the main quest line up to the point of getting my chocobo, mostly because I want to start in Gridania. My main class will still be THM/BLM but I want to get my other classes caught back up to the same point and get my equipment set back up since most of my old gear has to be sold. My first goal really is to get all my classes to 30 before I level up THM/BLM to 50.

ARC because I want to be BRD. COR was my main in FFXI and I find this half DD/half support class to be the most fun for my playing style.

miqote male summoner as main. love pet classes, extra management = more challenge.
i will also try war, drg, blm, mnk, fishing, and all crafting n gathering. i dont like gla or cnj too much. not unique enough for me. also, we need more pet classes here!. Pup n bst are a must, pls SE!
also as a side note, i want to start in limsa, bcc arcanist is from there but arcanist wont appear in phase4 so i think ill start as a mrd, hit 10, then lvl thm n cnj as subs for arcanist until launch, when the class becomes available to play.

Healer b.c everyone needs a healer. Also it is much easier for me then a DPS or tank class on PS3. Goldsmithing and mining also.

I'm going with archer/bard because I think it is the one class that offers somewhat of a different role when it comes to the class and job. Bard is more of a support, boost your party kinda role, while Archer is a pure ranged DPS class. I dunno if its possible, but I would like to see if its possible to have my archer be a competent enough DPS class to bring to raids, while also having the support role of Bard as an option.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ranger patched in at some point in the future. Sounds like leveling archer is definitely the way to go for you.

I'll most likely end up going THM/BLM as my main. I was a BLM main throughout XI, I just love making things go boom.

I do plan on eventually leveling all the magic classes though. I've focused mainly on CON during beta (I want to save THM for beta 4/release) and it's been a lot of fun. I'm also really looking forward to trying out ACN and both SMN and SCH.

Hopefully they do. I would definitely consider leveling ARC if RNG were available.
