My withdrawal symptoms aren't as bad as they were after week 1. I'm still just as excited though! Did my first group run (Sastasha). I've been trying not to do too much of the main storyline, as I want some of it to be "new" to me when I start phase 4/early access. As a result, I have nothing lower than level 8 lol. Anyone else doing the same thing?

I'm having the worst withdraws today, as I just unlocked my chocobo last night. I love how they let us use him as a companion, having him running behind healing me is absolute joy. Reminds me of XIII-2, having a chocobo fighting along side.

I also spent a ton of time yesterday grinding FATEs to acquire company seals. I had to get 1,000 seals to get the chocobo, then 2,000 to get a promotion, 3,000 to get the next promotion, and 1,500 more to get the armor for my chocobo. I had just got my second promotion when the servers starting barking at me last night to log out before they shut them down. This might be the longest week ever having to wait to get that armor, which will indeed be the first thing I do.

/sigh

I'm such a nerd. Smiley: lol

Almost forgot about chocobo companions and grand companies...

Waiting it out will be harder than I thought now lol

last week i was feeling ya. but now ive almost confirmed and learned everything ill need to be successful come live. mrhappy on youtube has some great videos paired with some time in beta, you will feel the calm before the storm =) the downtime is actually comforting because it gives me time to plan job routes and etcs

I've changed my job route three times so far. I finally decided on LL for my 1.0 char and making one on a new server in Grid. Bear in mind that this is also subject to change.

This was my first weekend. I made sure to try the 3 main things I wanted to. CNJ, Goldsmithing, and Mining. I liked all 3 so far, I suspect I will be happier to be a CNJ when the Duty Finder makes its way in since I love doing dungeons better then side quests. I never got to try Guildhosts? Or whatever they're called. Wasn't sure if I needed to do something beforehand for those or just join group and they would automatically appear.

I'm just dinking around with it and fast skipping text. I found a few minor bugs and submitted them so I feel I'm being productive. When Phase 4 kicks in IF they are still going to let us keep progress then I'm going to be playing it the way I intend. No withdrawls since I'm not investing myself fully anyway.

Hests can be done when you hit the correct level and have a party of 4, they're simply introductions to partying (with nice XP kickers). It's a nice way to get a handle on grouping before dungeons.

I'm just hoping that SE can sort out my problem of having the beta connected to a different service from my 1.0 character. It was a bit disappointing not being able to play with my LS as my level 50 character.

Not withdrawals, but got my life back on track. And NOW its raining, and raining...

I did run around, tried different stuff. Learning the controls, made a macro, saved my equip for each job/class.

My only issue now is targeting. Still need to play around to see what works, cause the d-pad sucks in FATE.

Oh, and I got my mob stolen so many times, so I'm also learning how to targit fix. Haven't quite got that.

Haven't been in a party yet.

But I do like FATE's, my best score was 3000xp.

I'm completely hooked on the game so far. I'm still enjoying Phase 3 because I want to experiment with different looks, races, classes etc. before I decide for sure for my character, but the wait between tests is torture!

The waiting sucks but I am off work Friday. I told my GF I need a solid 12 hours to nerd out then we can do whatever she wants.

If she okays that, you marry that girl because she's a keeper. Take it from a married man!

Yea I did lots of that. The last two hours of the beta weekend was spent in character creation. I've never made short or female characters, being a tall guy in RL...but I made a lalafell and a female roeg that could easily become alts on a new server.
