I was just wondering when these types of messages were going to start popping up!

While I have no clue as to the answers to your question, it is a good day when we're talking software issues again! The game is right around the corner!

I actually had an issue today. I was going to log in and just mess around, but all I had was this white screen. I could hear the music playing, and when I scrolled my mouse over where start game, and then to choose my character to log in I could but the screen was still completely white. So I decided to restart the computer, and it did it again. I'm not sure what happened. I played just fine yesterday, and nothing changed with my computer so I'm at a loss. So I just decided to uninstall and wait for phase 4. I guess I'm just hoping the same thing doesn't happen again.

Just because DirectX11 can work with it prior version, doesn't mean it will. With looking at the specs you gave I wanna say you are at the bare min requirement for the game if not below. Why not install DirectX9c to help your PC out and see if that takes care of the problem.

I'm almost positive your graphics processor is too underpowered. I would suggest trying to run dxdiag and see if any errors come up. Click start, type dxdiag, hit enter. Let it run then click on the tabs and see if there are any errors.

You don't have to uninstall DirectX 11. Just download DirectX 9.0c and install it over top of 11. DirectX 11 is backwards compatible, but it is sometimes missing nonstandard components or something may have become corrupt.

The bigger issue is your computer just doesn't meet the requirements.

The link posted earlier is for FFXIV. FFXIV AAR no longer supports XP. It also has a HD4770 as the minimum video card. If you look at tom's hardware video card comparison. The Intel MA3150 is 21 groups below HD4770. The Atom processor is a single core process that doesn't compare well to the Core 2 Dual processor.

While DirectX 11 is backwards compatible with prior DirectX versions, it may not handle version-specific commands like the actual version of DirectX the game is made for. To circumvent this, it is agreed with the other suggestions of downloading and installing the 9.0c redistributable, which will not modify or wipe or interfere with DirectX11 in any way shape or form. DirectX 9.0 will be used if an application if specifically written for it, which FF14 was written for 9.0c. Wherever you are getting your information from is completely inaccurate, or if the information stems from fears of what will happen to your PC there is no need to worry here.

I'm facing the same issue of the direct x error and i've tried all methods even overwriting the direct x to the previous version.
Can someone please help.

my laptop specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7250 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 3062MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 10

---------------
Display Devices
---------------
Card name: Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation

not sure if its the graphics card which is too low that is causing this error. Is there any method round this issue to get the game to work?
Necro Warning: This post occurred more than thirty days after the prior, and may be a necropost.

This is a necro post but look at my response earlier in the tread.

Did you install DirectX® 9.0c version? If not I would try there, if you have then it might be your card is below min requirements. As far as a work around for this to be able to work the answer is no, if you don't have what it is looking for (at least min requirements it will most likely will not work).

Edit: Claification
