That didnt work for me. It would just take me out of the mini menu and leave my windows open, and then I would have to go back into it to close them.

There is a keybind available for "Close all Open Windows".

Also the last little tidbit from the Dev team stated you will be able to close ALL of the UI components and still battle. Yoshida suggested turning off the UI completely and trying battle from 1st person mode. I'm planning to do just that!

Not sure if you played or not, but is this something like FFXI had where you could hide all the active windows? Do windows not normally close as you cycle through different menu choices? I ask because I usually just closed active windows before opening new ones. In most other games they close on their own unless they're meant to be interacted with at the same time.

Its personal preference and all, but yes we need to educate WoW players that this is OUR game, these are Characters and not Toons. Time to beat that into them one at a time.

Actually no, the system menus do not close themselves.

The Keybind is for closing windows such as Inventory, Character, Armoury Chest, Abilities and Skills, etc.

The UI button closes everything on the screen, HP bar, character name, enemy name, everything. In Phase 3, you could not do certain functions in UI off mode such as target next enemy, trigger abilities, so battling with the UI off was not really possible. It's coming though.

The feature from FFXI where the chat box turns itself off over time has been discussed. I'd wager that it will be added as soon as they can get to it. I really perfer it when the UI elemnts can be set to turn themselves of over time, with adjustable times of course. The UI in the latest Tomb Raider turned itself off when just exploring and I found that it really added to immersion.

Huh. I must have overlooked that option. I'll check it out during phase 4. Thanks
