I wasn't in beta 3, but I have pre-ordered the game. No email with a beta code... any ideas when I'll be able to download?

There is also an update after you download it on ps3. My download took 13 hours. I was shocked when I woke up this morning and it was at 85%. Maybe it was stuck there, so I paused it for 15 minutes and then resumed and it started clicking forward, but at a very slow pace.

I'm glad thats done.

Eww, 13 hours. I do not have beta 4 access on PS3 so I suppose that is why I am not yet able to download. I do have the early access key still, but I hve yet to receive my e-mail telling me to enter my early access code. The only thing I can access on the PS3 is the preorder for the collector and regular editions, a static theme, and a video.

Sounds like a parenting problem. Smiley: tongue But seriously, I have no idea, that seems like an issue for customer service.

"2013/08/15 07:37 [NA PS3 Version] Version Update Issue (Aug. 15)
Right now we are experiencing technical difficulties on North American PlayStation®3 version where an error message saying "No valid service account is available to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn." when players press the login button on the launcher and they are unable to complete the version update.
We are currently addressing this issue with a cooperation of Sony Computer Entertainment and new updates will follow as additional information becomes available.
Please note that this issue is only occurring on the North American PlayStation®3 version. The Windows version, and Japanese/European PlayStation®3 version, are unaffected.
We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

Ugh, does the downloader not have resume? I closed out my client and reopened it, and gotta start the whole dl all over.

I believe it wants the 20 digit code, correct? I still have the 18 digit code. I was not in previous betas, and I'm playing on PC.

I got a random error and had to relaunch, and mine resumed. Check your total download amount still, mine went from 7400 mb down to 3000 when I reopened.

For what it is worth, I was able to get around the "Unable to download patch files. [11003][20403]" error, but still not sure why it wouldn't support this configuration.

I changed the registry manually
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
I changed the "Personal" key to point to "C:\Users\%UserName%\Documents"
This stopped it from going to the network location, at least enough for the client to start loading.

I had changed the same key here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
but it did not resolve it until I did it in the User Shell Folders

The client downloaded and update and it progressing from here.

Would you guys agree that those not in previous betas won't get their 20 digit code until tomorrow? It seems like they're waiting until the day before, which is tomorrow in my case.

I can't update the game until I receive and enter the code, which means I can't play in the open beta either.

It's not resuming for me. Started at 7334Mb. Reopened downloader and relogged in, 7334 remaining. After dl'ing 300Mb I tried closing it out again and relogging in....started at 7334 again.

My download speed also keeps dropping from 1.2Mb/s to like 100k/s after a few mins. Wtfook~

Just do what I do, connect to my computer at home from my phone using Team Viewer. It has an Android app. It's free too.

Am I wrong in thinking that it's odd to need a registration code to play open beta?

I wish I could get my wife into the game. She actually said it looked too "easy" and prefers FFXI.

I don't get it really.

Those download times seem realy long. I downloaded over wireless on my PS3 in like 90-100 minutes. With the install it was about 2 hours.

PC download is also about 800mb larger.
