I maybe one of the few but I liked the voice acting, for a video game it was not bad. I agree with the original poster it would be awsum to have more of it.

Maps are fine to me... overall map a little hard to read sometimes.

I miss the air ship and ferrys, Again I maybe one of the few. It game me a break to do something like read up on my next fight or mission, or maybe get something to eat.

Odd, I was actually surprised by how good the voice acting was, but that's probably because I watch a lot of anime and always laugh at how bad the english voice acting is in that. So this was a nice change. I do love japanese voice acting though and had no idea we could change it, so I will probably switch it when early access comes up.

I liked the NA voice actors mostly. It really helped me drawn in to the game. It was so much better than listening in a foreign language in which I cannot understand what the hell was being said like the trailers. I tried the JP voice track, but it sounded too much like a bad hentia **** with it's over-exaggeration of emotions. Kudos to SE for doing such a fine job with the NA localization process. English voices really helped sell the story for me even more. Bravo!

edited for clarity.

That's strange, because I didn't have any voice acting at all, even the important quest completions. Maybe I had something turned off, I don't know, but I got to hear the voice acting when my husband completed his THM quest, and It sounded terrible. Made me glad I didn't have it on mine lol.

Are you sure? Was that the level twenty thaumaturge quest?

I only got to the level 15 thaumaturge quest. But there was no voice acting. That would have been really nice with voices, though. That was some disturbing stuff!

i don't really like voice acting in games. Some are funny, some not so mucjh, for an mmo it can bog down content development due to voice overs you gotta rehire everyone.... try to get them in as few takes as possible on top of making the content

just fyi it takes 9mths to make an 11 min spongebob squarepants episode..... thats just voice acting recording and drawning (which is done on pc and a bit faster)

I miss the airship and ferry travel instences like in ffxi the ffxiv ferry travel was nice, they even decorated it during holidays was nice. I enjoy l9ooking at the scenory (sp) in video games. Atr times i was upset i just would ride the ferry or airship or go on one of the many boat tours ffxi had. (bibiky bay tours were awsome)

I have to say so far, the voice acted scenes have been meh at best in terms of acting quality. I'm sure some others have enjoyed the voice overs, but some characters just don't seem properly suited at all. The amount we're getting right now is just the right amount.
