Early access and legacy questionFollow

Apologies if this question has already been asked and answered - I couldn't find it anywhere.

I am a legacy member, and I've read somewhere that legacy players get early access to ARR without the pre-order. Is this true?

And if so, how/where would i get the registration code? I tried going to the website where you are supposed to register your code, and I used one that I got when I bought the original collector's edition (didn't work).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your a legacy account holder you don't have to do anything, just download the client and login.

Are you sure you are a legacy member? You must have payed for the game during ver 1.0 for at least 3 months in order to be one.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I'm legacy - the legacy logo was displayed on the character selection screen on the beta :)

Where can you download the client?

Do you have the beta phase 4 client?

If so, you can use that.

Glad I did a quick browse before making another thread because it suddenly occurred to me that I didn't know the answer to this question either.\

In summary, the following people get early access:
- 1.0 Legacy players with the logo on the beta character selection screen
- People who purchased the collector's edition for PC or PS3

That's it, right?

The bolded is true. As for the second part, early access is for anyone that preorders from a group of selected retailers including Amazon and GameStop. They supposedly have a limited number of promotion codes, but I haven't heard of them running out. It has nothing to do with the CE.

hi

you use the same client as the beta 4 test ^^

** taken from the beta forums **

Download and Install the FFXIV: ARR Beta Test Software (Windows)
This thread explains how to download and install the test client (Windows version).

•FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn (Beta Version)

Please download the game client here. http://gdl.square-enix.com/ffxiv/inst/ffxivsetup.exe
* The download size is approximately 109MB.

* This software can be used for Beta Test phase 4 (Final Beta), early access, and the official release once the game has launched.

Ok, I'm legacy too. I have client from Phase 4 installed. But I guess they won't let me play for free. What should I activate in order to be able to play since it's not free? Is it in Square Enix account?

They do not have the payment area set up yet for FFXIV: ARR. You'll just have to wait, but until then you get to enjoy ARR with the rest of us. ^.~

Ok, great. But when launching the client, I have this (it's in french, try to translate it correctly):

Aucun compte de service valide ou actif n'est disponible pour jouer à FINAL FANTASY XIV : A Realm Reborn. (No valid service or active to play FFXIV)
Vous devez effectuer une inscription complète en utilisant la Station Mog (You have to subscribe using Station Mog)
* Les utilisateurs participant à l'accès anticipé doivent également procéder à leur inscription complète avant le 30 août 2013. Utilisez le code fourni avec votre produit pour terminer l'inscription via la Station Mog. (Early access user must subscribe before August 30th 2013). Use code provided with the product.

Since I own a copy of Version 1, what code should I enter?

In my Square Enix Account, I don't have information what so ever about all this.

Thanks

The first email you received from SE giving you your product code.
The code should look like this in the email: "Serial Number/Product Code: BAPEYE-195-NOJELU-813"

THIS QUESTION HAS NOT BEEN ASKED :-)

Quick question I hope I can get a definite answer on something - I'm a legacy 1.0 player and have been in all of the betas thus far. In the last beta I rerolled fresh on a new server - DO I STILL GET EARLY ACCESS?

I'm assuming it is tied to the actual SE service account and not the specific character.. but the servers go live tomorrow morning and I don't want to assume anything and end up not being allowed to log in.

Did I delete my character on Balmung when I created my new dude on Gilgamesh?

There's no time to contact SE support I just now thought about this. When I log in to the FFXIV client I get a "No valid or active service account is able to play..."

Your account does not sound active right now. I suggest combing through your emails to see if you were sent an early access registration code from SE. If you have not, then you will need to email/call them.

When I log in to the Square Enix Account Management system I can still see my original FFXIV service account so nothing has changed in there... hmmm. I can still see my original guy in the lodestone too.

Will they even be issuing preorder codes after the servers go live tomorrow morning? ... wondering if I should get one just in case but it would prolly make me create a new account...? Ugh I'm gonna email support now and hopefully I hear back by tomorrow

Early access is ONLY for Legacy and those who pre-order 2.0.

No, you didn't delete a previous character by making a new one on a different server, i have 2 characters, each on different servers.
