So another error now. Server is full blah blah blah. I think i'm cancelling my preorder and wait until they fix this. Terrible launch.

Have the Devs provided any updated information? The lack of info is more concerning than the server issues....

Good. Fewer people means less stress on the servers and less downtime for the rest of us that are patient.

They said 2 hrs ago there would be pop limits on troubles servers.

Saying as of 122pm several were having problems logging in. What a mess. And people make fun of WoW.

OMG brilliant. Maybe all these cry babies aren't just crying about it all, they are just starting these threads to help promote people to jump ship before the launch to ease the burden on us players who have the tiniest bit of self control and maturity.

I am going to go back and start crying in all the 72,435 threads that have been created today to get the server issues fixed..........

Launch is in just over 24 hours. SE needs to get these issues fixed. They CANNOT afford another bad launch. We as players cannot play because of these issues. I understand there are going to be issues and problems, but let's get it sorted for launch or there wont be ARR for anyone to play!

There actually has been another recent update on the front of the Launcher, though I didn't take the time to search official posts. It was stamped at 1:22PM PDT regarding the login issues on most of the NA/EU worlds, and they're working on it still.

Hell, I'm making an account out of boredom specifically because I can't log on.

This is bad, though. I suffered through 1.0 and was, for a long time, an apologist on its behalf. The problem is how people who /didn't/ play 1.0 are going to react to this. Judging by my friends on Teamspeak who have no/little previous FF MMO experience, I imagine this isn't going to go well for them in the long run. A bad launch can really hamstring the game and bury it before it even gets started.

I disagree. The people that will shy away from it now will always give it a try in a few weeks when they get the servers fixed and they are looking at the videos of gameplay on Youtube.

It is simply short term frustration causing all the panic right now. Our society is a very instant gratification one and this is just a prime example.

I am not a fanboy of SE, I rather dislike the way they take care of the community, or at least in XI and 1.0 anyways. Time will tell about this after they are under Yoshi-P's leadership. But they have made a good game from what I have played so far. While I was in the game there weren't many glitches and game play was smooth and the story line well thought out.

It seems the only major issue is server congestion, which I can live with assuming they get it resolved in a relatively short time frame. But I am a casual player so I imagine it is much more of an issue for the hardcore guys who want to level and get world first type achievements.

But from what I am seeing the people throwing the biggest fits aren't those players, they are just impatient people who like to stir the pot.

So, I've found that if you get the 10102 Error, you can resolve it with restarting the client. However I've been getting 1017 for the last hour and a half. It just has me wondering how long this will last, from EST to PST Prime Time is like the next 8 hrs, plus it's Sunday. So, what will SE be rolling out in the next week that'll solve that problem? It's silly because I hate to complain about it, only they sucked me in then took it away, like crack.

I once got my character to show up then when I tried logging in it gave me this error....now when I try all the worlds are missing so I can't even try to get the error anymore

Seems like SquareEnix jumped the gun on release. Probably should have spent less time going to shows bragging and more time testing server integrity.

I think they are victims of their own success. They didn't expect the game to be this popular. In fact if you asked us a year ago, server congestion from too many logins would have never even occurred to anyone. I'm sure the situation will improve after a few days but with the official launch coming up, I'm thinking logging in tomorrow night is a remote possibility Smiley: lol

People are cancelling their pre-orders in droves... can't say I blame you.

It's even worse today than yesterday, at least for half of yesterday you could log in (even if all instanced content was broken).

I'm personally going to stick with the game but a lot of my friends are getting annoyed.

can't wait to get in. I spent the 24th sleeping and the 25th was spent doing "outside" activities. today is my last day to take advantage of EA. I guess I can wait an hour or two.

I enjoy the game enough to slog through this, but this is just sad.

SE got a second chance and just threw it in the front yard and lit the sucker on fire.

I'm currently trying to talk my friends into not canceling, I don't know if that's possible with it seemingly being an unending line of failure on SE's end.

This is not how you win back jaded customers from the 1.0 fiasco.

You have the most magical resources at your disposal. I mean, 20,000 people having log in issues is a "massive failure," regardless if that's half of the people playing or 1/100th because that IS significant, and now not just some people are cancelling their pre-orders, but pre-orders are cancelled in DROVES!!! Where do you find all this wonderful information that you base your life around? Where did the list of MMO's go that failed because of even a week's worth of log-in issues occurred? And what is the definition of anecdote? I wonder how accurate generalizations of anecdotal experiences are?

Has anyone gotten in in the last 2hrs? People have to be logging out right? So spamming play should let someone in every now and then, unless it's completely broken.

I got in earlier after trying off and on for 3 hours played for 30min and then got error disconnected and cant get back on .

Basically you have to spam the log in an hope it lets you on.
