Being able to skip the scene after character creation. Follow

I don't know about you, but i'm trying to make a perfect character and I needed to remake many characters. And the only thing that's bothering me is the scene after the creation. It's long and boring. Why can't I skip it like other scenes?

I believe it's so people do not mass create themselves characters, to do so would be a significant time investment.

IIRC, there was a statement saying that they have no intention to make this a scene you can skip. I get that opening has two prompts that you need to answer, but the info they give you could have easily been given over to an NPC once you landed in your starting area.

I spent an obscene amount of time trying to create a character I was happy with (the only beta phase I actually played in was beta 4...the others were squandered playing with characters. lawl!). I'd make a character, get it into game, and then find something horrible about it. And repeat. Over and over. I feel your pain D:

Is the character creation benchmark not available to you (i.e. I don't know if it's available on PS3 or not)?

I have the PC version and no, it's working for me. I don't think they have it for the PS3 though.

I gotcha, just that even though I know there's a limited amount of save slots, that was going to be my only best suggestion to avoid seeing our fair-haired and bandana'ed friend from the opening CS. XD

It should be skippable. Not only for people who recreate their characters, but the scene itself is very boring.

What I did was Alt-f4 (I am on a PC) and re-login

Edit: Nevermind you still have to watch it again after you log back in

Haha, that works too.

In the P3 beta notes, Yoshi p addresses this and he said that the answer to the question asked during the cut scene affects something that will happen later in the game.

You have to answer why you want to be adventurer: for money, for power, for fame.

Seems like a bit of nonsense to me but since you'll only have to do this once per character it's not a big deal.

You can't skip it because your answer to the prompt about why you are an adventurer determines what kind of ring you get. But otherwise I agree, that cs is just obnoxious.

True, but they can make it so you just skip to the choice and after the choice, you can skip again.
